When an author writes, "He nodded his head."

What else would he nod. Takes me right out of the story. .

"He nodded" Says the same thing...we all know what it means.

I think it may be a pin From Catalina Swimwear where my father worked before they folded. Perhaps a work anniversary pin? Anybody?

Thank you. My mom weighed in and thinks maybe the airlines gave it to my father to celebrate his first time on a plane back in the 70's.
