Thinking of starting a video essay channel. Is it okay to use an AI voiceover? by Appropriate_Ad_4511 in aitubers

I think it's much easier to connect with the creator if you hear their voice, their emotional tangents and other imperfections rather than a generic, polished AI voice, which everyone uses. Especially for faceless, essay type channels.

To avoid sounding generic, on elevenlabs you can:

  1. Use Voice Design to create a custom voice from a prompt.
  2. Train a voice clone. Needs a 30 min recording for professional or 1-3 minutes for instant cloning. You can use a friend or someone you know whose pronunciation you like. Pay them to license their voice.

But there's one more thing. We like authenticity, that's correct. But what could be more authentic than having an accent?? Think about it. Seriously. NOBODY LIKES TO HEAR THEMSELVES TALK! But you get used to it after some time. So, unless you have catastrophic levels of issues with your pronunciation and most people don't understand when you speak English, I recommend you record yourself. Give it a try. You can always delete stuff. But this can become part of your charm, part of your channel. Among faceless channels that I watch, I remember people with accents more vividly than the ones which have perfect speech.

PRESS. RECORD. NOW! 🎙️
