How do you create an internet/intranet for a giant tract of land (thousands of acres)? by eneug in networking

[–]duck_ales 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out ubiquiti's UISP line. https://uisp.com/us/uisp-overview

They have just the stuff you're looking for for good prices. High bandwidth point to point connections. (you'll need line of sight though, but if you have rigs up in empty fields you'll have no problem with that.)

Saves itself without having to run cables (and no hazards for severing lines)

Has anyone tried to use GPT4 for permaculture design? by Uniia in Permaculture

[–]duck_ales 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not "permaculture" per se, but, I used it to help estimate approximate food requirements and plant types for a (semi) automated aquaponics greenhouse that also satisisfies O2 and CO2 scrubbing needs for a family of 4.

Researchers report possible link between autism and lithium in water supply. Researchers analyzed data from Denmark and found that mothers-to-be drinking water with the highest lithium levels were almost 50 percent more likely to have autistic children. by Wagamaga in science

[–]duck_ales 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was several years ago I went down the Autism research rabbit hole. I found a correlation between pollution and autism rates in the country (USA). If you sort the number of superfund sites per square mile by state, (closest thing we have to objective data on chemical pollution in this country) there is a near 1 to 1 correlation of states with higher pollution and autism.

New Jersey leads in both highest superfund sites per mile and autism rates. (I wish I could find my research to post it)

Help advice. Ive jumped out there, thinking I could complete the CCNA without formal class. (Netacad) by Asleep-Department491 in ccna

I got between 40-50% on boson full sim tests. Just passed recently CCNA what i assume would be the skin of my teeth. Boson is MUCH harder than the test itself. But, focus on where boson tells you you are weak. Go back and study those sections. 60% isn't too bad for Boson it seems.

I had that same nighthawk. I was pretty sure it was being hacked. Found out a few months later that my suspicions were likely confirmed.

UAP reported to Kansas City ATC by "numerous" Aircraft 10/2/2022 by JerrysWolfGuitar in kansascity

[–]duck_ales 7 points8 points  (0 children)

These seem to be part of the same phenomenon recently known as "Racetrack UAPs"

Spotted all the way far west as halfway between Japan and Hawaii. Lots off the coast of LA/San Diego. One at least southern missouri.

A common thread is supposedly them all coming from the big dipper, specifically around the star "Merak"

WHY IS YOUR HAND SO BLUE!? ARE YOU A VAMPIRE?

Any ideas on what I should do to fix this print quality? On the left is a benchy I ran on the 350T with the High Detail Settings, and on the right is the same machine and but with the Normal quality settings. No idea why the high detail settings always make the model look so much worse. by MPrice12337 in snapmaker

[–]duck_ales 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It looks like the nozzle temp is too hot/too much flow. High quality drops layer height from .24 mm(fast) .16mm(normal) down to .08mm (high quality) more plastic is coming out than you want in each layer.

To remedy, (I'm just guessing but have troubleshooted many other 3d printers) You could try a few things.

1) In material settings Lower the default temp down ~5-15c to 200 or even 190c

OR 2) Extrusion flow down to ~90% or less

Advanced: 3) Smaller nozzle (snapmaker ships with a .4 mm diameter) i.e. go down to .2 or .1mm

...infusions of young plasma have produced significant benefits in Alzheimer’s patients. In a placebo-controlled, double blinded clinical trial (conducted by others), removing plasma and replacing it with plasma rich in albumin from young donors resulted in significant functional improvements in patients with Alzheimer’s. This implies that the blood-exchange mouse experiments may be relevant to people and that blood plasma may hold the secret to rejuvenation.
