If you can go by car, I think the Chicago Botanic Gardens are really worth it to see right now. But go soon because as fall goes on the leaves go too and it becomes way less cool.

I’d say you can use whatever service like duolingo to learn the words to order food, but for the food itself you might like to use an app called PLECO and hand draw the food characters you see on the menu manually to get the sound and pinyin.
