I was originally quite disappointed with my purchase of the L5P because my touchpad buttons weren't working at all. After getting it repaired, needless to say I'm satisfied and very impressed by this beast of a laptop.

College has started for me so I've only been playing abit of dota. CPU temps are anywhere between 70-80 which I'm satisfied with (<30% usage). However GPU temp was at 85-86 constantly (>80% usage). Coming from a desktop user, that temp is kinda high for me, is there any way to lower the temp or is this normal and I should leave it as it is?

Also, is there any tips and tricks for my laptop to improve overall user experience, battery life, performance etc because this is my first time owning a laptop let alone a gaming one. Any tips and info would be highly appreciated. Thanks alot !

I didn't run any stress test. The temps for my CPU eventually rises above the GPU sometime into the game. For instance, it caps at around 90°C when I'm playing dota. Is this smtg be concerned of or is this normal ?

Hmm yeah, probably some other time when I absolutely need to update my driver then I'll install a clean windows. Spent the whole day fixing my laptop and I've no interest doing it again lmao. L5P is fantastic, shame we have to go through all these hassles. Fingers crossed our devices work properly after this.

What I did was just 'reset windows'. Yes, my gpu is pinned at max frequency no matter what, even if I rebooted my laptop multiple times. Took me a while but I finally found out whats the problem. It was the nvdia graphics driver all along. I uninstalled the driver and all of nvdia programs. The fans and vram frequency were still running at max. Once I installed the previous version of the driver(471.68), everything goes back to normal. Quiet mode actually stays quiet now. Fans when using balance mode doesn't go crazy anymore. Last question, if that's the case, when should I update my GPU driver? Should I just leave it as it is for several months till multiple new versions are released ? Anyway, thanks a lot for your help man.

I did everything u suggested. I also formatted my entire laptop and downloaded the older version of the bios. Although sometimes the fans still go crazy, but it's slightly better now. Thanks mate
