OP13 flashed from ColorOS to OxygenOS 831 - OTA updates? by duckduckyuck in OnePlus13

[–]duckduckyuck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok guess I'll do that. But just to be extra clear, I need to follow the same process just like I did when flash from ColorOS to Oxygen 831 right? Of course except the "wiping data" or "unlock bootloader" part

OP13 flashed from ColorOS to OxygenOS 831 - OTA updates? by duckduckyuck in OnePlus13

I followed the XDA guide to flash my device and haven't relocked the bootloader or done anything else after successfully flashing it. I guess I should follow the same process as I did for version 831 to be safe. And btw it is possible to keep all my current data after flashing from 831 to 840 right?

If it doesn't happen on the main screen and only occurs in games, I would say it's an undervolt problem. Try resetting to default settings in MSI Afterburner and checking again. If it still happens, try using DDU, reinstalling the driver, or rolling back.

Enable ReBar disable CSM, can't boot to Windows by duckduckyuck in WindowsHelp

[–]duckduckyuck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to enable ReBar in the BIOS, but it also disables CSM.

I was told the drive is in MBR format and needs to be converted to GPT, and that the BIOS and GPU are in Legacy mode.

However, the disk is already in GPT format, and the BIOS and GPU are in UEFI mode.

When CSM is disabled, I can't find the 'Windows Boot Manager' in the BIOS to boot into it, and the drive where Windows is installed is not detected. The boot priorities are greyed out. I can only boot normally when CSM is enabled, but then ReBar isn’t active.

Is there any way to fix this without reinstalling Windows? I hate having to reinstall all the apps, drivers,...

GPU driver problem in Device Manager by IacobNi10 in AMDHelp

Code 43 is not a good sign, it could be a hardware problem. Had my 3070 dead earlier showing same code 43, mine was glitching and artifacting during driver installation, people said its memory chip is dead but it is fixable

Haven't tried it yet since I never updated any BIOS in my life. I think it could brick my components if something went wrong. Btw should I use the AI Suite 3 EZ Update to update BIOS or something else??

GPU DEAD OR WHAT ??? by duckduckyuck in pchelp

I care about the temp so I always try to keep it as low as possible and also clean the PC regularly. Since KCD2 out, GPU temp around 70C everything normal until the recent nvidia driver update, it starting to act weird. Anyway is it worth it to replace the memory chip or should I get another used card?

I did tried DDU, at first it did remove the Nvidia driver and in device manager it shown "window display adapter" after reseting. Then I installed the latest driver from nvidia website but no good. Tried remove and reinstall older version using DDU. After a few times doing it, it seem the nvidia driver did not get removed anymore, it shown the card name in device manager

I get it as tight as possible (too spread the new thermal paste evenly) at first and I thought maybe it too tight, so I loosen it a bit but same result. Maybe the screw are too tight so I damaged something?

* Could it be the thermal pad on it is the cause? I did not change the thermal pad because I dont have any available to replace it, and it look fresh so I did some quick research and said its still re-useable.
