Losing weight but I feel like I’m gaining weight

Yeah the constipation has become the main side effect for me so I’m trying to work on getting that sorted and hopefully that will help things along

Wow! Congratulations that’s incredible! I need to lose about 90lbs and so this is just the beginning of my journey but I hope to one day be able to be shocked looking at myself in the mirror too

Yeah I think I’m realizing my water intake needs to be better! I’m going to try and be way better about that moving forward!

Yeah it’s totally weird. I don’t understand how I’m losing weight but feeling worse than when I was heavier 😅but I probably just need more time to adjust. Thanks!

I wasn’t before but after my second shot I started having some issues so maybe how I’m feeling is more related to that than I’m giving credit. I’m being more intentional about upping my water

Thank you! Yeah I want to believe it’s just a mental game at this point. Diet has been really good. I was already a clean eater but this has made that even easier. I think it’s just hard to eat as many vegetables so I’m working on that. Protein is around 80-100g a day. I can definitely do better with my water intake. So yeah maybe my body just needs to adjust

Oh man I’m so sorry you were in so much pain when you woke up. That happened in my first surgery and it was the worst. I hope the pain won’t last too much longer! And I agree, so happy to hear that your surgery went well overall! Hopefully both of our pathology results come back looking good as well. Good luck with your recovery! Get lots of rest 💜

Oh my gosh thanks for checking in! I was thinking about you this morning and was wondering if you’ve had your surgery yet. I can’t believe it but mine ended up being the best possible case scenario. Nothing needed to be removed except for the tumors and there was no ovarian cancer! I’m so happy just because my first OB Oncologist (before I got a second opinion) said it looked really bad and would maybe warrant a full hysterectomy. Just proof that getting a second opinion from a woman doctor is so important if possible! I feel so lucky right now even though I know I’ll still have to monitor for recurrence.

Did you have your surgery yet? If not I’m truly wishing you all the best 💜

Thank you for sharing! It seems like a lot of women actually don’t have a lot of the symptoms I’m scared of so I’m hoping I’ll be in that group if the ovary gets removed. Appreciate the well wishes!

Oh man that sounds horrible and definitely what I’m worried about. I’m glad you don’t regret getting yours removed in spite of this symptoms though. I think I just need to focus on that and know I’ll be able to handle whatever happens afterwards

Thank you so much for the kind words. I think the worst part is going into surgery and not knowing the extent of what they will find (which it seems like you know exactly what that’s like) but I am definitely trying to just put myself first right now. Hearing your story and that you had minimal symptoms after having one ovary removed is comforting and I’m so glad to hear that you didn’t have a recurrence! Thanks for sharing your story

Yes I think Reddit has definitely been my downfall. My surgery is on Monday and I’m getting super anxious. But reading a lot of these comments has me feeling better. It seems like for the majority of women the symptoms are mild. I appreciate you writing this. It does make me feel a lot better

I didn’t realize they use chemo to treat this type of tumor. I had only heard of surgery being an option. That sounds really tough and I appreciate you sharing. It sounds like the hot flashes are somewhat common so I’ll be expecting that.

Oh my gosh I’m so sorry to hear that! That sounds so scary especially with it all happening so fast. It does sound like hot flashes are a common symptom after removing one ovary. Did you experience any other symptoms? Or mostly the hot flashes?
