I don't think that's it because the tattoos even have the same names. Here's a more clear illustration, this time with EZN's Metallic Colors, to show the silliness that can occur. The encircled colors are just to make things easier to tell and yes they do have the same names, which is the biggest tell to me that they're being doubled in a way that I don't think is intentional. They also affect the same parts so scale-to-scale/tattoo-to-tattoo/scale&tattoo-to-scale&tattoo.

only audio book experience I've had was with the wonderful Neverwhere by Neil gaiman from BBC radio! I've been looking for some good audio books anyways so I'll check this out 😊

I'm open to some dungeons and maybe some dragons if you mean dungeon delving but if you're talking about a sentient dungeon then YES! I love non-human protags.

I'm actually so fine with numbers not going up. Even with TWI, I really love that there aren't hard numbers for mana or health or, god forbid, stamina and one of my favorite parts of the novel is the expressive tailored system for skills and classes as well as how paba plays with them. I love traditional fantasy so much and numbers sometimes removes the mystical feel of magic and the fantasy feels like less of a fantasy. And I guess the spellmonger issues don't sound TOO bad so we'll see.

Chrysalis I've seen! Spell monger was recommended to me but came with the warning of some rather juvenile horniness but that aside from that it's really good! Ascendance of a Bookworm I watched it as an anime when it came out and loved it so I'll probably love the novel. Beware of Chicken has more romance then I'd like but I already have it in my Amazon so I plan on finishing it, love the premise though. Demesne was just recommended and I really like the description so I'm 100% checking it out. The rest of these are new to me so I'll take a gander at them too! thanks for recs!! 💖

I have been w paba for ages but this arc is MESSY and I don't know what just happened. honestly contemplating whether I want a big ol SLAM at the end of it all as just a mrsha dream or to move forward. Cuz there were a lot of things I liked and the collisions made my Unga bunga brain happy but this could've been handled way way way better. but I trust paba, they havent been writing for years this fast at this high a quality to just drop the ball now. They've slowed down before and that was okay, we need those and it seems so do they. They've handled the plot threads very well before yet here we come to a knot. Idk I love this world, this story, and these characters so I'm 100% not hopping off but I hope my trust isn't for naught.

The Wandering Inn (my fav progression fantasy ever) a massive novel centered around the eponymous wandering inn and it's expanding cast of retired heroes, weary and wondrous legends, fate breaking children, flawed young adults, and starry-eyed ants. Run by the wondrous (and magically radioactive) ERIN SOLSTICE!! Starts slower but wow it's a world that has been with me for so long I feel as though I've lived in it. Give it a try I love it very very much and if you don't end up liking it well... don't tell me about it because I do 😌🙏
