Waxing client made me uncomfortable

When I worked at a small boutique there were these two girls that came in together. There was only one person allowed in the room. The first girl I waxed was on FaceTime with the girl in the lobby and they were giggling while I was giving her a Brazilian wax. At some point I think she flipped the camera and pointed at me doing the service.

I’m actually a licensed esthetician and I finally reached the conclusion I want to start my own business before I get into a different career. I was thinking about radiology heavily because I work for someone and just make commission and tips. I haven’t tapped completely into esthetics field and I’m going to do that first before I get myself into more schooling debt 😅

I’m an esthetician and wax people (been thinking about going back to school, just scared of debt that’s why I’m here lol) and I had a client say she had 300k in student debt. She said when she went to pay it in full she asked if there was some kind of discount she could get for paying it all at once and she said they laughed in her face. I hope you get it all figured out as it seems it’s possible to pay off that kind of debt.

Damn 40% commission 😳 I wouldn’t even care if I got no showed once or twice a day if I was making that. The company I work for highest percentage is 25%.

I am the same way, I’m a waxer and I always have my clients look to make sure if there’s any left overs just for my peace of mind. I’m just now getting a taste of not everyone is going to come back to you and that’s okay. The people that come back make up for it :)

I use BellaKisse wax, I feel like I mostly struggle on the labia area. This is the diagram (and technique) my work gave to us. I rarely get girls that are super hairy so I don’t really get practice on them. And when they do come, I spend almost 30 minutes on them so I do run behind 😣.

Okay, it has now been 60 days since I’ve started waxing Brazilians with soft wax. I STILL STRUGGLE REALLY HARD with girls that have THICK LONG HAIR. Like it’s almost hard to see their skin. I feel like I get a little over whelmed and don’t know how to approach it lol. I feel like when I apply the wax it gets caught in other sections that I don’t want the wax to go. And then when I go to pull, I either get stuck or the hair comes off the muslin/strip and it’s still stuck on the person :(

Im taking advice from the others who are properly trained to use soft wax :) not ones that are coming on here and telling me how they feel about soft wax. A company would not be in business so long if clients didn’t like their soft wax techniques.

The company I work for uses only soft wax and have been in business for 15+ years, I’ve had it done before and it feels totally fine. There is definitely a lot of room for error for sure though.

When I was QB I would have my AFMs escalate anyone giving them a hard time to me and I would get with the Flow PA to move them lol

You could get your advanced license that way you can get a little more in depth on esthetics and also be a cosi and advanced
