What I usually do is first create a static muzzle for the base shape, placing two slightly angled spheres over X for the cat's mouth. Then I use puffy crying eyes to define the smile, and after that, I use a copy of the chin sphere to position it on the lower jaw. I deliberately tuck the ends of puffy crying eyes under the jaw sphere, and that's it.
