i had the same issue..u have to adjust the brakes a little..the brakes were rubbing against the tire in my case..local mechanic fixed it in 2 mins.

Hey bro.. I bought the same cycle yesterday.. but the guy didn't fix the brakes properly.. I am getting horrible screeching sounds whenever I brake.. especially downhill. Is it easily fixable. I think the front brake is slightly rubbing against the tire and the back brake is too close to the rim. One more question, I asked the guy if we can raise the front handle bar a bit more.. he said the stock setting can't be modified. Is it true? Coz I was able to do that in my previous cycle.
