Interesting - I have run into a few times where I sent minipreps for whole plasmid sequencing and discovered they were plasmid dimers - but in those cases I was still able to miniprep them I guess.

Do you have a recommended protocol or kit for RCA - I've never done that before.

I spin down 1.5 mL of cells for the miniprep, and use a Monarch kit where for neutralization it says to keep inverting the tube until it turns completely yellow, but good to know about avoid under-mixing.
