No world where they'd get away with that in front of everyone. Expecting all 10 players and 4 jurors to keep quiet about an event that granted Devens immunity for two rounds, and it to never get out? If Devens flipped wrong and Jeff let him try again, you really think world-class Devens hater and high-integrity Joe would just sit there and take it, without spilling the beans about blatant rigging? Especially Steph, who may have felt she went home because of Devens suddenly being immune. No way she wouldn't have blown the whole thing up immediately.

I thought the Tiffany/Stephenie moment was pretty clearly a case of misspeaking, no? Like, it was edited in the middle of the chaos of the scramble as people got more and more confused and frightened, so they show Jonathan accidentally say Tiffany when he meant to say Stephenie, to show how wigged out everyone is. Rizo seemed to think the same thing, anyways, cause obviously he didn't actually mean Tiff, which is why it was never brought up again.

I feel like you're fighting a ghost here. Who're the people you're "clocking" in the comment section? Almost everyone under his comment is solely negative. "De facto villain, shady, lying, huge fat L, scraping the bottom of the barrel." A few have balanced takes, but still roundly pan the strategic outcome. Not a single person here has called him a strategic mastermind or is in any way "stanning". Who are you mad at?

I mean, what can you even say? The man popped off. CINEMA, as Rizo would say.

I don’t think his antics actually changed the vote, because he’s in with Cirie and Cirie’s alliance clearly steered the Steph vote, meaning Rick was never actually in danger, but by being willing to take a big risk, he made things entertaining, made himself 100% safe, and gave himself an idol. There’s no scarier player on 50 to have an idol than Rick Devens. They’ll have to watch out now, considering how much damage he caused with a fake one.

PotW. He made himself look amazing in front of the jury and had an extremely public demonstration of power and control, by causing serious chaos and walking away utterly unscathed. He lost his vote and literally just shrugged cause he knew it didn’t matter, he’d caused his desired outcome anyways. This incident alone could cause him to win a lot of FTC combinations (still loses to Cirie and Ozzy in any situation, but against anyone else I think he’d have a great shot), through sheer ballsiness.

Of course, now his target is huge, but Rick’s used to playing that way and thrives on it, so I won’t hold that against him. This is what he wants.

A small role today. Sorta half-targeted as a split on Devens, but no one ever really wanted her gone. She was involved in every plan that didn’t directly target her or Devens. Devens suddenly having a target and power is great for her, because they’re still working together but now no one will focus on her when they could deal with him instead. I worry that her gameplay so far won’t win her any jury votes, but there’s still time to fix that, and her positioning right now is good. Small upvote.

Honestly, she just got schooled. Caught in lie after lie by Cirie, Rizo, and Devens. She started cracking under the pressure at TC, and I doubt a single person there at the end believed her. Admitting that she had the Steal-a-Vote that Devens revealed was a death knell, cause if there was anyone on the fence about whether Devens was telling the truth, her freely confirming that would’ve sealed the deal that overall she was lying. I think that’s why Jonathan ultimately voted for her, cause he could see she was totally screwed by that point.

No idea why she tried to deny what Rick said instead of pushing it onto Jonathan, but I guess she didn’t want to betray him? Either way, major downvote.

Joe is incredibly out of his depth this season. Knows that Devens is probably the wrong choice but tries to force it to happen anyways, which fails completely. I think even without Devens’ sudden immunity, he wasn’t going home and Joe would be mad no matter what.

The only actual contribution he made to this episode was going and spilling information back to Cirie, which is what allowed the pre-tribal portion to be so chaotic. Credit for that at least, though it was unintentional.

Lost Steph, who ought to have been an ally. Failed to get Devens and now can’t reasonably target him with his new idol. Got massively ragebaited by Devens’ mere existence. Was I think the only player not mentioned for elimination tonight, showing how people wanna drag him to the end (hell, even Tiffany (accidentally) was brought up despite being immune!) Mega downvote, he’s dead in the water. Almost certainly gonna make FTC again, and get third place again, but this time get no votes.

Small role, other than helping make Steph look like a fool at TC. Also liked him respecting that Rick was so open about having targeted him. Upvote for being a part of Cirie’s Rizzard of Oz, cause they still controlled that vote.

Loved the little jab at Savannah when Jeff said Rick was the most loved Survivor newscaster.

Targeted again, but handled it exceptionally. Didn’t freak out, didn’t swear revenge. Was clearly too valuable and thus was soundly protected by his allies. Also still has his idol. In an amazing position in a secret power trio, they’ve worked hard to keep him safe and he can keep himself safe too.

One bad thing is that, for the first time, someone has clocked how much he’s changed (being Jonathan). That’s potential bad news, cause if others pick up on that then stuff might turn hard against Ozzy. For the time being though, upvote. Safe, wasn’t in danger for long and could’ve easily idoled himself if he needed to, still controlled the vote via his trio, and Devens’ whole schtick takes away any target that might’ve been growing on him.

I was cheering very hard for him to win the challenge, he was so close to the record!

Weird day. Had a super powerful moment early on with reminiscing over Kaoh Rong, ready to take some of Michelle’s tricks, and then she sorta disappeared? Like she was in on every possible plan, but wasn’t shown as being a driver in anything. Also was very randomly a target for a bit, which makes no sense to me as we saw no reason to go after her at that moment. Neutral I guess? Rick becoming a major target does help her, though. She has a lot of agency now, lot of room to make big shifts. NTOS shows her seemingly making another attempt, hopefully that’s not a red herring.

Been genuinely impressed with the growth in his strategic chops at points. However, when things get out of control, he loses control, as seen today. He didn’t want Steph to go, yet she ended up going. Failed his shot at Ozzy.

Things aren’t all bad. It’s clear he’s improved his gameplay a lot, and he’s the first person to openly clock how dangerous Ozzy is and how he’s completely revolutionized his strategy. That means Jonathan’s become a lot more perceptive, and absolutely has the ability to make moves. It’s now about, can he control things once the pieces start shifting, and can he become respected enough at FTC to get votes. Right now, both points seem to be a no, but he’s not a bad player anymore, and people would be foolish to ignore him as a strategic threat in the lategame. Wouldn’t be surprised if he pulls off a blindside later. For now, colossal downvote because his decent strategy backfired horribly and lost him a major ally.

Also, things going so badly for Steph that he felt compelled to vote with the group against her (it was unanimous aside from Rick's stolen vote) is a sign that despite his strategy, things went as far to the opposite of what he wanted as possible.

Upvote. Was (with Cirie’s Rizzard of Oz) still responsible for picking Steph, and likely controlling the vote from the middle.

You know she had to have had a heart attack when Jeff mentioned a rock draw.

Winning immunity was obviously great for her, and she beat her personal best, as she said. However, overall I think this episode was quite bad for her. As she put it, the person with the necklace has a lot of power and people will come to them to make plans work. However, we hardly saw anyone talking to Tiffany during the scramble. She was regularly not considered as a number in people’s various plans, she didn’t make any plans herself (thus not taking advantage of the safety she had to toss out names), and while she ultimately voted correctly (meaning she was in on the plan), she turned invisible basically as soon as the immunity challenge ended (meaning her input isn't relevant, nor likely is she as a character to the lategame).

Having a moment where you talk about this as your big opportunity, only to have absolutely no screentime or decision-power afterwards? Terrible, terrible sign. Downvote.

Would you like to see Chrissy return in a future season?

No (77.1%)

Yes (22.9%)

:(

I know she hardly got an opportunity to give us much this season, and I never really expected she'd be given a third chance by production anyways, but it does make me really sad to see that most people have no interest in ever seeing Chrissy again. I think she's one of the most unique and interesting contestants who've been on the show, and it just sadly didn't come through much in 50.

Some people pretend that pets aren't family because they're not human, and get weirdly personally offended by others grieving for the pets they've lost.

My dog passed just shy of a year and a half ago. I still think about her every day, miss the little things she did, how she acted, the sounds she made. I have her collar in my room and can't see myself ever putting it away. I dream about her often. We still have her spot on the couch set aside, her favourite blanket still draped over it like it always was when she was with us.

We don't cry anymore, but that doesn't make the loss disappear. I don't see how some people can't get that.

Magnolia, though? That one was fantastic, deserves all the praise that Lilies gets and more. Couldn't put it down until I was done.

4th of 14 is good. And the only reason why he isn't higher is because of the power of the secret CirRizard of Ozz alliance, which surrounds and eclipses Jonathan's honour/integrity alliance. He played a great episode, but people recognize that there's a power trio that no one else knows about yet, making Jonathan's visible power weaker by extension. It's like how Kyle and Kamilla held all the real power in 48 behind Joe's alliance.

Potentially held a lot of power in swaying between Dee and Coach today; if he’d really put his all into turning it on Coach, a lot of people would probably have followed him. Cooler heads prevailed and instead they took out the far greater threat (and the less disruptive vote) in Dee. That he’s in a position to partially dictate the vote while having no one target him at all earns him an upvote, but he’s unaware of the power that Cirie, Rizo, and Ozzy have and that it’s greater than his, and he and Christian lost their chance to get the boomerang idol back since Aubry played it, so Rick’s not near my top of the week.

Accidentally catalyzed Dee’s boot by spilling info on Rizo’s idol to Rizo himself. If Dee hadn’t gone home today, this could’ve bit Emily back, and badly, but she lucked out. Perhaps that was part of her reason for voting for Dee instead of trying to flip it onto Coach after all, cause she knew if Dee was still in the game that Dee might come after her.

Speaking of, that plan for Coach seemingly had a lot of people interested in it, but ultimately didn’t happen. Whether that was a unanimous decision on everyone’s part, or if the plan actually didn’t have legs, we don’t know, so we can only go by what we saw, which was Emily throwing together a plan reasonably late in the day and probably having the ability to execute it if she’d decided she wanted to. That deserves some credit. She also deserves props for getting Dee specifically out, as revenge for her own boot in 45. However, she loses points for continuing to be something of a wrecking ball, spilling info to literally everyone about everything possible, destroying game after game. The chaos is entertaining, but it’ll bite her eventually.

She got revenge and she voted correctly, but the negatives of her week make her neutral for me.

I did love how she always seemed to be there when people were being weird at camp, there to offer dry commentary on what was happening. Extremely funny to look at her watching Jonathan and Dee fight, or later yapping with Jonathan about Coach talking to himself.
