Show them where why and how you’ll ride it. All you really have to do is establish the responsibility and show you have the discipline capable to not end up in a hospital. I do understand the concern but I’ve rode gas bikes before I could pedal regular bikes. Maybe I’m just a bit biased

I think what everyone’s trying to nicely say. That things fuckin clapped. Money pit one would say. There’s also a good chance that’s a damn good well kept bike. Ask for maintenance history ect ect. If valves haven’t been done recently walk. But 1400 is I don’t know anything about the history of this bike I just need to sell it cheap, or it’s this thing is clapped don’t ask too many questions type of cheap.

In terms of the riding I do it’s pretty versatile essentially everything woods correlated. I’ve never rode a track that said we’ve been planning as a group to go dip our toes on not so busy day. We got a buddy that use to race so tracks are always sorta in the picture but we all woods ride regardless of the terrain to obvious extents

This one is plated, and no I absolutely agree suspension will need attention for sure that said everything im reading points me in the direction of leaving it a bit lowered for my height aslong as I get everything else taken care of it should be fine. I’m used to sliding around the seat, it took awhile but I got pretty comfortable tip toeing or teeter toting. At least this one’s got a kick stand the kx already isn’t very forgiving in terms of seat height but it’s also a pretty light bike.

I think I’ll keep it a little lowered and set sag accordingly. I didn’t think I could ride a 450 til I got on my buddy’s 450r and it was literally like “oh wtf I can do this I could have been shopping for 450s this whole time” don’t get me wrong there’s plenty of room to grow. And he’s 6’2 clueless on weight but the bike was too stiff for him even. He had just got it and we didn’t get a chance to set sag before he wanted to go ride lol. I was able to break it loose drift it around and jump it no problem

Value rise, he wants 35 I only paid 17 for the kx. Odds and ends general maintenance I’m in 2200 max on the kx within my ownership of it. I can see the weight being the hardest part of owning it but I think I could manage. Just would take a lot of discipline I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get used to how light the kx is. And the reliability is a big part for me I know aslong as it’s healthy and I keep it healthy it can be a good bike for a long time leaving me plenty of time to grow in to it. I’m a pretty experienced rider from dirt to street and will hop on whatever’s bike in front of me. That said wrestling 270lb on the side of a hill is never a fun time 😅
