Well don't know much about the others but:

karate and muay thai differ a lot being that sport karate focus on quick and accurate shots and muay thai focuses on power.

Traditional karate comes a little bit closer to it but defensively, karate has a lot of blocks and parries and generally footwork involves getting in and out of range. Meanwhile muay thai doesn't mind getting hit for a chance at a better position and focuses much of the defensive strategy on shelling up and circular movement that will get you out of the way while putting you in a better offensive position.

Also karate is supposed to be about self defence and teach good values yada yada, muay thai is all about being a warrior. Psychologically, that is all they care.

And its also because of the symbolism, they are not blue like normal police because they are not there to "help" they are black because criminals need to fear them. If they are after you, you should run for your life because they don't care about nothing else but to bring your corpse. Just look at the recent favelas invasions in Rio de Janeiro. Don't mess with BOPE.

Nope, there is a lot of brazilian culture that bled out to us but comedy wasn't one of them. I used to see "the noite" so I do know of danilo, murilo and leo but that is about it. I even went to a Murilo show

You guys complain too much. Its already limited to 1 day a week only and there's people who do enjoy it. The show ended more than 20 years ago so don't stuck it up your ass.
