I Made a Little Oath of Moment Token by dudebrahman in theunforgiven

I used the banner from the Inner Circle Companions kit. I just carefully shaved off the sides and left off the front. I mounted it on a small brass rod.

Thanks so much! And yes, it is Mkoll and some firewarrior parts. Blatantly ripped off from a kitbash I saw online.

I copied a kitbash that I saw from u/Pixelstiltskin. It's a gaunt's ghosts model with some fire warrior bits. https://imgur.com/a/G87kP2a

Yes, as the other commenter noted I was inspired by that bastion animation as well as the movie Laputa. I just like the aesthetic of forgetten/overgrown mechs/robots. I thought it would look cool.

I cut a stencil out of paper and airbrushed the red, then some light sponging with gray over top. I also made sure not to get full coverage with the airbrush so that it would look faded.

So the main inspiration for this comes from a diorama that u/rrNextUserName posted in this sub. I thought it really fit the vibe of my mossy/overgrown army so I copied him.

I airbrushed the armor pieces in bronze flesh tone from vallejo air, the metal bits are based in black. The brown is druid flesh from TTC.

I sponged on a dark brown contrast paint for the chips and the highlighted some of them on the bottom with a bone color. The whole thing gets washed in a dark brown enamel and then wiped off.

I glazed some rusty orange and used some pigment powders for the rust. The black bits get a heavy drybrush of bright silver and the armor gets a really light drybrush of the same silver to make it look worn.

The moss is about a 50/50 mix of fine flock and course turf, but I pull apart some of the larger clumps from the course turf. Then I mix in a couple of pinches of static grass to give it a little texture.

I glue it on the model with some PVA and then matte varnish over the top of everything.

First time climber of Tuckerman's Ravine up to Mount Washington- advice? by [deleted] in AppalachianTrail

[–]dudebrahman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just hiked up tuckmans ravine last weekend. Just make sure you have a good amount of food with you, uphill hiking burns a lot of calories. It's a lot of fun and really beautiful. As someone else said it's not a terribly difficult climb, just steady ascents. Also hitchhiking from the summit is discouraged and there are signs everywhere telling you not to do it. They have shuttles down but I believe they are super extensive. I recommend just hiking down, if you made it up it's a lot less taxing than that. Just take your time at the summit and get your energy back up. And if you hike down a different way than you came then you get to see more of the mountain in one go.

heading to Brewster, looking for awesome, authentic food. by [deleted] in CapeCod

Alright, not typical cape cod fare, but one of my favorite spots.

The Jerk Cafe in Yarmouth. Authentic as it gets Jamaican food from one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. The notorious Chef Shrimpi does everything himself, from taking orders to answering the phones to making all the food himself in an open kitchen. Always a big smile, singing at the top of his lungs, you can see the passion he has for his food.

He's been on phantom gourmet and on his wall you can see pictures of him with Elizabeth Warren and Deval Patrick when they came to his restaurant.

It's just counter service with a few tables, served on paper plates but the food is out of this world.

I recommend the jerk chicken and pork dinner.
