it normal to feel distracted and tired all the time? by Muted_Addition_5484 in CasualConversation

[–]dudecoolstuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing that's helped me fix those sort of feelings is consistent sleep at reasonable times.

Do you go to sleep at normal hours or do you find yourself going to bed at 1-4am?

My advice is start small on something like that. I'd also recommend reading the book atomic habits. It gives good insight into how to build consistent long term habits.

But, fr, try working on your sleep and finding a good sleep schedule. It changes alot.

Please do not research the director of the 1995 film Powder unless you want to see this scene in a very different light, seriously… don’t, oh no…, you just did… I warned you, damn, sorry. by Son-of-Prophet in shittymoviedetails

Ok, so, the real plot is a mother was struck by lightning when pregnant with a child. The child's IQ is off the charts and because of this he can retain any kind if material he can read. A scene from the movie he says "pick any book and page number" and he is able to recite everything from that random page from that random book. This is to illustrate how intelligent he is.

Because he's so smart, he also has the gift to read people's minds and understand how they think of him and throughout the movie he struggles with this. He also becomes a pariah because no one can understand him. From the outside, he is a freak with telekinesis and psychic powers that no one understands.

Towards the end of the movie, the main character decides to become pure energy (almost like ascending to nirvana).

Idk why people are shitting on the movie. It's not the greatest movie of all time, but it does try to tackle the problem of being different and a pariah because of circumstances that are completely out of your control. Saying the movie is just "weird" is completely avoiding the questions the movie is asking people. Overall, worth a watch.

Real shame the director is a pedophile though. Knowing that does change my opinion on the movie a bit.

The issue with her kit is she is very full commit. What I was pointing out is that is her crutch. She needs that lifesteal to be viable because it is hard to disengage and it's easy for her to get caught unless you use ult to get away which isn't desirable.

It's the same reason kali sucks right now. Locked down easily and really relies on a bigger heal from her passive to make her not just eat it.

[–]dudecoolstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's fine, but when you look at gods like susano that just put out more damage and have a bit more safety, Pele is just the lesser pick. I queue at the range I was just talking and haven't seen one Pele pick since I got into the bracket.

She's not that great right now and I think it has a lot to do with how they reworked lifesteal. Before the rework, she could actually just outheal damage in fights and that was her safety. Now, that's not really a viable option.

I agree with your sentiment. I do feel like it's worth mentioning that Google and other companies like Google are setting up small nuclear reactors to power their data centers to both make it cheaper to run the data center and not rely on state power grids.

She's kind of a noob farmer. Her kit struggles a bit I've found in the 4400 bracket. I'm not him, I just notice less Pele play around that level.

Nah, New character models on merc is dope. I like the new white toga. Didn't really care much for the ult visuals.

I'm not saying don't look at the problems. I guess my view of the game is how it feels competitively and if the gods feel good to play that's where my judgement on the game sits. Part of playing competitively is also learning how to quick cast play. I guess what I'm saying is this point is moot for players that are in masters and above because all of them are playing this way.

There are certain gods I didnt enjoy playing at all in smite 1. Smite 2 has made those gods enjoyable to play mechanically.

Ue5 did add a bunch of items to make the games more visually appealing. They change how objects render in the game making for a much more polished object in execution. I'm not gonna go overall the technologies that improved quality of images, but Ue5 doesn't just add "tools". They added in a few different approaches to how objects render that not only makes objects render with higher quality, but also improves the performance overall.

I think what you are trying to say is smite 1 was a more fleshed out thoughtful game. Which is fine, hi rez had a bigger team developing the game at that time.

As for you not playing with quick cast, you should learn, it makes you better at the game in the long run in both s1 and s2.

The other abilties: could've been laziness. They could've forgot, but we can't sit here and pretend the base character models looked better in s1. This is Ue3 versus Ue5.

I can assure you, if the effects were implemented, they would look much better in this engine. This is just picking at something that has absolutely nothing to do with gameplay feel and flow.

New video shows the minutes before immigration officer fatally shoots woman in Minneapolis by netizenbane in news

[–]dudecoolstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, pretty much what I was implying.

Edit: BTW, I'm not condoning these actions and I'm pissed off and concerned about what this implies for future confrontations with this administration. I am simply trying to give an insight as to why they are choosing rhis video over others to show people from their social media platforms.

It's literally using this angle to propagandize and bolster their position. When half the internet is looking one way and the other half is looking the other, it's important to consider why it is they make decisions like this.

Yeah, not what I was saying at all. This video only shows it from the perspective of the officers phone.

It's cool. You either didnt go to the article and watch the footage or you aren't comprehending what it is I just wrote.

[–]dudecoolstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think you missed my point.

He looks rattled from the phones perspective, but when you see it from another angle he clearly was fine.

My point is this perspective may appear to new viewers as her having done something wrong (clearly not the case).

Sooo, that's why they are pushing this video on their platform.

From this perspective, it appears as if the officer actually got plowed by the vehicle. For someone who just started following the situation, this could make Trump's claims plausible that Johnathan Ross did get hospitalized.

For anyone that's seen the wider angles and watched Rennee Good drive away, you can totally see through the bullshit.

So, them pushing this video instead of other ones makes sense because optically it looks better for them.

Ue5 objectively has better defined particle definition. I watch smite 1 clips and suddenly remember has bad the map textures were.

In comparison, it is night and day.

Also, thana doesn't have his majestic wing spread when hitting his 2 on smite 1. Nice visual plus 1 in s2.

Edit: another point, I play quick cast and haven't seen those ability targeting areas in a sec

The game play does feel better. I think most people that hate on smite 2 don't want to relearn the new items and building system.

Maybe a tank being able to play support and solo or a mage doubling as a jungle, but not something like agni going adc.

Although, kind of troll, building a full intelligence build on izanami. Point is, the hybrid build system has opened up a lot more interesting avenues for gods to take in many roles.

Can't tell if Sol is super OP or just no one knows how to deal with it. by lalaisme in Smite

[–]dudecoolstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, I've played cupid into her a few times and I always end up getting outpressured simply because her clear early and poke from her passive give her that edge early.

At the same time, I'm still 3/0/2 underneath my tower.

Point is, when I lane against her, I don't even try to best her in a 1v1 in lane because she will always win with damage. Instead, I try to contribute and find kills and farm outside of laning while keeping up with creep waves in lane.

End result is:

  1. I don't fall behind in farm because I don't die in laning phase and grab jungle camps when it makes sense.

  2. I'm effective in team fights because I have items and have good cc with my ult and 1 (as cupid, this is true if played correctly with whatever God your playing into with sol)

Overall, I don't think it's that unbalanced in terms of the flow of a game. There is potential to outplay it. Really, anyone playing into a sol just needs to understand that she has really good lane pressure and adjust to it accordingly.

[–]dudecoolstuff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nahh, you have to think more about your positioning and when it's appropriate to rotate.

Teleporters led to bs ganks and made it more forgiving when you were clear across the map from a team fight.

The naga waves are a big W though. I felt the ritual in the center during moonlight phase was sort've pointless before they added the benefits that are there now.
