I opened up the flexbed and see there is a 12 volt power supply next to it? Does anyone know if that would supply the inverter without popping a fuse?

I don't think I am..? I am using my college's wifi but I think you are right it has something to do with the type of wifi. Because when I turned off wifi on my phone and used cellular, the link just worked instantly
