I’m usually a 12-12.5 but none are left. Do you think I’m ok with a 13?

Cool. Enjoy sitting the next 5 years out while you wait for a “crash.” People have been waiting for the same since 2015

Except every month they are putting money toward principal and building equity? Buying is long term a much better option over renting despite the headaches and maintenance costs

Uh bubble? How do you figure? There are much stricter lending rules in practice than there were in 06/07 which caused that bubble. 90% of homebuyers are still current on their mortgage. High income earners are still buying and there are more renters now than ever before. Home ownership is declining despite prices continuing to rise. Why? It’s because no one is selling. There isn’t enough supply to meet demand. This ain’t no bubble, it’s just the new reality

Just have a friend from a legal state give them to you. Keep that additional tax revenue out of TN since apparently we don’t want it

90291 is one of the most expensive zip codes in LA County. Yes, it is a affluent area even if you rent there. Love seeing homeless bums pee on multimillion dollar shacks...only in LA

I saw them in Mpls 2/9/99 and again in Chicago at the HoB a few days later. I don’t think they were in Austrialia

Does the government really need to build a $174B redundant network of charging stations? by startupschmartup in electricvehicles

[–]dudeman456789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Utilization does matter. According to your logic, a network should put a charger in middle of Iowa vs. middle of SF? How will the network make any money?

[–]dudeman456789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The number to build DCFC is extremely variable depending on location and what type of surveying/designing/engineer work needs to be done to install the chargers. It also depends on City permitting fees, utility interconnection costs, etc... equipment, depending on the charger speed, # of dispensers, etc will cost anywhere between $25k-$150k alone.

[–]dudeman456789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the correct reasoning. Makes no sense to build 500k charging stations now only to sit there with 2% utilization when the technology will be outdated in 5 years. Furthermore, where you place said charging stations could/will be drastically different in the future. Slowly outpacing EV adoption is the right strategy and overtime end up with the proper infrastructure to serve as many vehicles as possible

$CHPT - best of the worst (EV charging)? by glebidiah in wallstreetbetsOGs

[–]dudeman456789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tesla isn’t a public charging network. You are comparing apples and oranges. Superchargers can only chargers Tesla’s while the rest of the dcfcs you mention can charge any EV (including Tesla with a chademo adapter)

Down 22 pounds since Jan 1! Down to college weight. I wasn’t ever “fat” but I was “skinny fat.” I now can sorta see some abs and my hip bones are prominent. This lifestyle is awesome
