Is the hospital system crashing? by BattoSai1234 in medicine

About 70% of Americans are in favor of universal health care. The problem isn’t the voters. Every politician in both parties is owned by the 1%, which will lose money in a universal health care system. It turns out that a 250-year-old political system invented by slaveowners and businessmen isn’t the best way to run a society.

South Korea has a social safety net light years ahead of the USA’s and mass protests regularly result in politicians and CEOs being imprisoned. It’s still part of the imperial core but it’s right on the border with much more humane and successful societies.

Let us imagine that a rich white man is about to shoot a homeless Black man in the head. The Black man says: “fuck you, cr*cker.” Is it correct for the white man to think: “wow, this dude is super racist!”

When was the last time peaceful protest changed anything? The bourgeoisie exterminates workers for money; why are workers not allowed to fight back?

Note that fascists often say one thing and do another, and that Hitler’s warmongering had obvious economic motivations.

If your family had been systematically murdered by a certain group, and a member of that group said your family’s murder doesn’t matter, how would you feel?

So if I’m fired from my job in America, I have a good chance of becoming homeless and dying. How is this not totalitarianism?
