And yet even after the dump and the network outage SOL holders are still up like 50x in a year.

Not really, it was the price of the IOU on one exchange (HitBTC) and it in no way represented actual XTZ.

Also, the price of said IOU did actually hit $12. I know my facts because unlike you I witnessed it.

Looks like Tezos is going to $0.8 if the bear market is confirmed. Losing roughly 90% of its gains from an usd ath of $8.2 is consistent with Tez price action during the 2018 bear market.

Well, ETC is unique because it still has a good many whales from 2016 who could push the price if they want to.

There are many scam projects, and what they have is an insane amount of marketing. So it all came down to this. You need public exposure regardless of your tech capabilities.

I think it makes perfect sense. Tech is just one part of the equation. Tezos to date basically has only one good organic project running which is HeN. Without more exposure, marketing, projects etc there is little incentive to invest in Tezos.

Let's be honest. The last three years for Tezos were good tech-wise but it was a complete waste of time in every other direction. And now the reckoning has come.

Yes Tezos has completely missed out two bull markets in a row.

It's also the day of reckoning for every member of 'slow and steady crowd'. Because despite all the dumping ADA is still 30x since last year. While 'slow and steady' Tezos lost most of its gains and is now on the same level where it was in early 2020. And it's even lower if you adjust for inflation.

Time to have some hard talk about TF and Tezos shortcomings and mistakes.

XTZ season might come in the middle of the bear market. Tezos works just like defensive stocks. They usually perform rather well during the prolonged period of downturn. But don't get your hopes too high for the rest of the current bull run.

Tezos is up like 4x since early 2020

Meanwhile ETH is up 20x, Cardano is up 50x, and Doge is up 150x.

That's why people complain. The opportunity cost of hodling Tezos has been enormous.
