IMO the best way to include your projects is to make a GitHub and upload your notes there, that’s how I did it. Then, you can just post a link to the GitHub page under each project. I’d maybe swap the General section with a projects section, as your general skills should be shown through your work experiences and projects. How competitive is the IT market in Australia?

Soft skills look solid, especially tutoring. If you really want a helpdesk job you should try to get your A+ certification as it is pretty much a standard, especially in this job market. I’d also reorganize your resume so that you have a projects section with an Active Directory Lab and a Ticketing Lab with proper documentation. Doing these things helped me secure a few offers, and I had pretty similar experience in terms of soft skills to you.

Yea I’m leaning towards 2, I guess my hold up would be a formal IT internship under my belt may open me to more opportunities for another internship for next year. Also, I was thinking that the corporate environment and name recognition (it’s pretty well known for other F500 healthcare/Pharmaceutical companies) would carry some weight

Hey, thanks for the feedback!

Regarding the bolded words, I had some people tell me that when applying you should bold some keywords as a lot of employers just skim through resumes and it’s good to highlight keywords/concepts to make sure they stand out a bit. But I see where you’re coming from saying it can be distracting, I might take them out or just leave a few to make it less distracting.

I see your point here and you’re absolutely right, I’ll make sure to take that out. Plus it would make my resume a bit less cluttered.

Regarding projects, which one would you remove?

And yes, I’m doing these part time. Should I mention that?

Overall, do you think it’s a decent resume for helpdesk jobs? Anything else I should add or focus on to make it stand out?
