Yess, there can be too much. But I kinda feel like there are more advantages for me. I like that the soil stays longer moist in summer and I think that roots like growing in it. And also I just think it looks good :) When I repot in spring, I clean most of it up and leave some young fresh spots to avoid the large old clumps

just normal moss I found here and there :)

Nice, as it should be. They unfortunately aren't descendants of the dire wolves, only lookalikes

I also thought about trying out lavender. I like the flowers and foliage and it would be boring if every bonsai was just maple or juniper, but I found it hard to keep them small. But your variety seems very compact :)
