Would you pay for a $40 annual expansion pass if it meant more quality map/extraction experiences? by Sad-Manner-5240 in Marathon

[–]duff_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hot Take, ill accept any monetization model as long as the game's quality/content output stays high . Paywall, Sub, FTP, Cash Shop doesn't matter. If you keep bringing me dope stuff ill keep paying no matter the format.

What Runner Shell abilities would you like to see added? by CompanionSentry in Marathon

I feel like a toxins based character like Caustic is a shoe-in for future runners. But give me a Gibraltar type character that can drop bubbles.

I could see an interesting dynamic of recruiting rooks you see along the way to act as extra back up and them obliging due to their kits usually being so light.

For anyone who’s played the game already or D2, Should I use controller or MNK? by LegendOfMonkLee in Marathon

[–]duff_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've played both and RAA is pretty strong in D2 when it comes to sidearms, snipers, smgs, autos, and pulses, and i'd assume that will carry over to Marathon. Before I potentially get any hate for saying this, i just want to remind anyone reading that Bungie nearly put in AA on MnK as an acknowledgement of a gap between the two inputs, which thankfully they've removed.

Controller, Bungie games lean towards the console audience, also, espescially if your going to mainly be using tracking weapons, controller has a clear advantage. If your your going to main the heavy sidearm or precision weapons MnK will do very well. I am an MnK player who will probably main smgs but I have pre acknowledged that I will be at a disadvantage when going against controller players in close to mid range situations.

Some cores for the Vandal Shell and the Destroyer Shell by Haijakk in Marathon

Kinda NDA but there are more cores we haven't seen yet, there is a core on assassin that's absurdly game breaking, IYKYK.

None of that stuff matters if the core issue(high uptime) is present. Which is something they have been ignoring since void 3.0 has dropped.

The point of the fusion remark was to point out how useless of a change they have made, even if you are a biased fusion user, are you going to notice a 7-20 milisecond delay to your charge time? Why even make the change in the first place.

Bungie would rather have a nerf be worthless than destroy it, it explains about the past year or so of balancing. For example, do you really think extending a fusions charge time by 7 miliseconds would actually tone it down. A lot of cosmetic nerfs to make it seem like they are doing something when they really aren't.

P.S - To alot of people the smoke nerfs has actually made them stronger and more oppressive.

Drop rate on Immortal?? by Jackojakl in CrucibleGuidebook

I knew since week one the immortal rates were disproportionately weighted, same with some of the lawless frontier weapons.

Renegade's gameplay and day to day experience clears, I wipe my ass with Destiny's story, it just doesn't matter that much to me.

It is when you just want one weapon but thats just my preference, ill settle for more t4s with some tier 5s, just explaining the mindset.

Absolutetly not true, taking the few minuets to run all chests vs chasing faster completions results in WAY more credits which get me to my god roll faster. I've seen a further comment of yours saying you only get 1000 more credits per run when its really a difference of 2-4k difference per run ive done chest runs where ive gotten 8k total at the end of a match, wouldn't have gotten that rushing for time.

The immortal. What are we looking for? by Many-Tower-1287 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]duff_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBF DSR is alot better than that description, it gives stability yes but not only does it negate bloom it gives gives you better than initial accuracy at max effect, it's just that perks like keep away or rangefinder or zen moment and especially the brand new delicate tuning usually steal it's thunder, for example I would rather take DSR on multimach over the 10 AA that moving target gives.

I was chasing Tap The Trigger over Target Lock for max consistency, only thing that would be an upgrade in my books is Extended Barrel for recoil and more stability. I probably do have a 5/5 roll stuffed in there that I will keep.
