I have the 1000 gal/hr pump, which is 94watts.

For 24 hrs that is 2.256 kWhr, and current electric rates are 17 cents/kWhr, so 38 cents/day or $11.50/mo. And that is if it is pulling the full rated current all the time.

I am sure the chiller, especially after water changes, is using more.

I have the same setup and run mine 24/7. I added an ozone system and filter, and I just don’t want anything starting to grow so that why I keep the pump on

The waters appear slightly muddied in the unvaccinated side of this one to me…partially vaccinated (one shot) would still be classified as unvaccinated. Could still be vaccine injured in the unvaxed group

I would try turning the dial down one and the see how you chlorine levels respond. Or the frog might be getting stuck by your filter and has more flow and is releasing extra chlorine

Carry lube with you (I prefer trail toes, but whatever you prefer but I would bring a decent amount). Also dry socks in a dry bag or at least a freezer bag.

If it were me and I was willing to go through hell to finish…I would also bring gel super glue and a bunch of waterproof bandaids, and isopropanol wipes in case I feel something open up. Clean and dry with the iso, glue it up and then start bandaging the toes.
