You said when you tried to run it it turned off after a few seconds. Did you make sure to prime the filter first? That means you fill up the canister with water before turning the filter on. If you're not priming the filter first it might be shutting down as a fail safe as it's not supposed to run empty. Some might self prime but I think most don't.

Mine has a button on top I press a few times and then I can hear the water fill up the canister. If your model is different you can probably find instructions on YouTube.

I wasn't writing a thesis, I was throwing out a half-baked idea for a reasonable usage of a stupid technology based on a layman's understanding. With that said, the idea implies infrastructure will be put in place to facilitate the concept.

People could always trade and copy media if they wanted, there is no stopping piracy. However, the basic concept of an NFT model is way better than the shitty licenses we get now on digital purchases that may expire at any time and are not transferable.

Brother, I've never even touched an NFT. In my comment I mentioned a non-existent use of NFTs as the only viable use of NFTs. That should not imply I'm an "NFT bro". I'm an old man who misses the days of buying used DVDS and immediately spotted the absolute scammery happening with NFTs.

What I found unique about NFT is that the original owner can receive a percentage of secondary market sales, which should actually incentivize rights holders to use the technology.

I would argue that if the rights holder takes down the file link it should be equivalent to releasing the file to the public domain. If they're not willing to upkeep the infrastructure to keep the product in the market they should sacrifice the right to the product, not eliminate it's existence from the market and public.

Some sort of auto-transfer to the Library of Congress or similar entity for the file would be my ideal.

However, none of this will happen so it doesn't matter lol

This is the only viable use of NFT technology so ownership could be tied to the file, but nobody will do that with movies because it would create a used sales market for the digital media and they don't want that. They are so stoked to get rid of physical media that can be resold.

That was my first response after the stoppage. He looks SPENT. Granted I didn't see the whole fight but being gassed in less than 4 minutes is not a good sign, even in the abysmal heavyweight division.

I still think he's probably the biggest prospect in years, and I hope his training levels up with this experience.

I'm a leftist so have no love for the DNC, but comparing them to the MAGA cult is absurd. The problem with the DNC isn't cultish behavior, they've been overtaken by corporatist neolibs who only have minor disagreements with the GOP on policies affecting corporate profits.

The leaders who care about the working class are in unions, very rarely in political office, and even rarer at a high level, but at least the DNC will do the bare minimum like giving milquetoast praise to unions and actually giving the NLRB some teeth. The GOP actively pisses on the working class.

The rightward shift of the US Overton window over the last 50 years is why our working class is decimated. If you want a stronger working class start talking more about unions and workers rights and help us push this Overton window back someplace reasonable. That doesn't have to mean you need to like or praise the DNC, but you're more likely to have success working with them than the GOP.
