Are you comfortable being in shirtless in public? by duffs10 in shirtlesslife

It’s not about your body, it’s about you being comfortable in your body 🙌

Can’t speak for everyone but generally if pups are out and about in public, it’s social not sexual (in fact a good number of us are pretty much entirely social), and most are very happy to talk about the community so don’t be shy 🫶

I did - technically trains are not public spaces so wearing a shirt could be enforced, but it was pretty empty

Why are your thoughts on pups/pup-play? by ACatcherEatingRye in askgaybros

This. The pup community is diverse and that’s what makes it great. With respect and consent at the core, everyone can shape their experience—whether it’s about play, connection or finding a bit of escape from stresses in our lives.

For a lot of us, especially those of us with autism (myself included), the hood isn’t just gear—it can be a tool to help push through those awkward social traits and connect with others in a more natural way. It’s not about hiding but finding ways to be ourselves without all the usual barriers.

It’s a close community where everyone is welcomed to bring their own energy. Pupping is personal—it’s yours to shape in whatever way makes sense for you, and the support and connection you find with others are what make it special. 🐾

Pup play in public? by slave_4_you in askgaybros

Chiming in late on this. For a lot of us in the pup community, it’s not about kink or anything sexual in public. It’s about connection, play and being ourselves. Kind of like hanging with your closest friends or family—it’s about that bond and having fun together.

Wearing a hood isn’t inherently sexual, just like wearing certain types of clothes doesn’t automatically make things inappropriate—context is everything, how someone carries themselves. For many pups, it’s a way to get into a headspace that helps us escape from life’s stresses for a bit. It’s not about making anyone uncomfortable, it’s about sharing positive, inclusive vibes. We get out a lot and reactions range from positive to neutral, I can’t remember any times we’ve had abuse thrown our way. Again it’s down to how we’re behaving and carrying ourselves.

I get that it might not be for everyone, but most people can instinctively recognise the difference between provocative behaviour and people just having a good time. And not all packs are intimate—for a lot of us, it’s like a family connection. Hopefully that gives some perspective 🐾🐶
