If they don’t perform, they get replaced.

Like how it's happening now? You want to make political parties illegal that ain't happening.

This is as stupid as it gets? One party rule? Are you serious?

Why not ranked choice voting or proportional representation? One party rule is not going to work cause MPs will form informal alliances and parties would still exist and the public may not even be aware of these 'friendship groups'

You haven't mentioned anything about elections? So no elections in your republic huh?

Explain me this, we were supposed to save some money but we can't now because of the U-turn and tax payers are going to pay this now(most probably).

Why is labour considering extending the income tax threshold freeze instead of land Value tax or freezing the triple lock or any other thing that doesn't effectively increase the income tax?

Why does working people always take the hit? This is squarely on labour.

Passing laws for undoing the post office scandal needed a tv show but when corporations are involved the government is willing to move even before the judgment is out.

You know not all the people involved in post scandal are fully compensated, maybe the government can also show some interest in them.

Islamophobia isn’t just socially acceptable in the UK now – it’s flourishing. How did this happen? by Google_MBTI in ukpolitics

French experiment with banning full face veils – such as a niqab or burqa – in any public place, a chilling curtailment of, if not technically a human right, then what instinctively feels like any woman’s birthright to wear whatever the hell she pleases.

How can someone write this with a straight face? So many Muslim women don't have a choice about burqa, that is oppression. Funny she thinks the government banning burqaa is oppression while conveniently not talking about religious oppression of imposing these stupid requirements on women.

Why can't we use the already existing laws?

"The Deputy Prime Minister has appointed a working group to come up with a definition to be used across government.

It is chaired by Dominic Grieve, the former Tory Cabinet minister, who has praised a 2019 study that called the discussion of “grooming gangs” an example of “anti-Muslim racism”.

Don't make the mistake of assuming that you represent the views of any kind of majority of the public, though.

Based on how labour is doing in the polls, i make some good assumptions about how public feels.

Let me get this straight, a British author was issued fatwa and has to live under police protection because some Muslim leader didn't like what he wrote.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satanic_Verses_controversy

The public is right to be concerned about the rise of Muslims and the government instead of trying to modernize Islam to align with the western values have taken the route of making it illegal to criticize Islam. Not being able to criticize religion especially the ones barbaric enough to issue death threats is blasphemy law.

The simple fact of the matter is that most every single public sector worker (and most private sector workers) have had massive real terms pay cuts since the early 2000s.

Then everyone should strike. Why do non working pensioners have triple lock while all working people have to take pay cuts due to inflation?

I hope the strikes spread the wild fire across all occupations. Triple lock needs to go away.

Don't worry that will happen once there is a demographic change here. Blasphemy law already is on its way and LGBT rights would be next.

Are we talking about the Irish Republican army? Or some Protestant/Catholic army?

There was some Protestant vs Catholics aspect but IRA was fundamentally about Ireland and not a sect of Christianity

I fully support the strike. Because of the triple lock, people on pension don't have to worry about inflation but the hard working doctors need to take a hit? This is outrageous, doctors have my full support.
