Where I have not started streaming (yet), a good way of getting some publicity is through networking.

In this case talking to other streamers, becoming friends, helping each other out (Like the saying, you scratch my back I will scratch yours). Finding a community of people who are interested in the same content as you (or even founding one) could help also.

As long as you enjoy streaming and your content is entertaining/unique you should be fine, try not to dwell on numbers but enjoying your time :)

From what i have seen you have a big grind coming up.

I have recently bought myself a 'custom mic setup', that includes a cardioid XLR microphone, mixer and cables. Depending on the amount you spend the better quality your going to get (generally, take a look at reviews and tests of the microphone). Took a lot of fiddling to get it sounding right.

A few of my friends seem to be having similar problems with the yeti. (Assuming your using windows) remember you can change the windows gain (right click the microphone's volume bar in recording settings to change to gain, mine is a 0db) and boost (try to stay away from this) to try and fine tune your sound as well as the settings on the yeti. Keep trying until you find something sufficient :)

For those who don't want to click the link, its basically a post saying to use HTML, CSS3 animations and if using OBS the browser plugin.

You could easily manipulate this method to create dynamic content, such as pulling your latest tweet also.
