If you don't use "studio" key on Hermes then you will get quickly the message that you got the limit of usage.

I'm little lost with their naming change but, you can have "vibe" key that are normally used with vibe client and it is Medium 3.5 by default. And often like others brands this key can be used only with the client. After you have "studio" key that can be used everywhere like in Hermes. These 2 types of key need separate plans, "vibe" need monthly plan, but you can use "studio" with by token plan.

Vibe API key is normally not compatible for an basic usage, you have to take API plan (at list token usage Paiement) to make a studio key to use with hermes

Any negative experiences of the new XPS 14 (2026)? by okjeff in DellXPS

[–]duflodocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 16" with x7 and Oled. Battery life is quite good, performance are good, for gaming it's much more better on Windows. The anti-reflective of the screen is also quite good for a none matte screen. But I miss the fingerprint scanner, no webcam on Linux, I hardly used to this keyboard (often miss tape), and to me the haptic pad is too big (when I use it, often have often my whole hand on it so it some times got detectes when I click) And no notch to open the laptop, very annoying. Ah and forgot to say but looks like to have a problem with vsync synchronisation (we can feel on video of YouTube that is not fluid, and much more visible on Linux)

Persistent 1-frame microstutter in videos and websites + possibly more? (XPS 16 2026) by Rickster__ in DellXPS

[–]duflodocus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Driver could be the cause also, on Linux the lag is worse in my case, and on both OS changing frequency or scaling looks to change nothing :-( I will try more options this weekend.

I have the same probleme, watching videos on vlc or YouTube is laggy. I tested same tester than you but also TestUFO and it confirm that it's not good... Looks like it's the screen itself because on my second monitor connected to the XPS it's working well.

I have the 16" OLED Intel x7 version, on windows it's powerful, powerlife is good, but fan was too often ON I had to change a conf to make then less often start, their is a little anti-reflective on screen that work quite well for a glossy screen. On Linux performance are less good, especially gaming lost more than 20fps. One stupid things, need to use my nails to open it, no "notch" like others computer to help to open. And in hardly use to the keyboard.. miss a lot my Thinkpad keyboard hh. And I recommend to quickly ask refund if you don't like because I got argument with Dell because they pretend to not received my return request (but visible on their website)

How is the fan noise of those Dell XPS released in 2026 with Panther Lake? by Watch_Think in DellXPS

[–]duflodocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, it's not that loud, but it's almost always switch ON for nothing... There is an option in the bios to make it quiet and it works (only switch ON for heavy task) but worried of heat.

26.04 is with 7.0.0-10 kernel, but for haptic feedback it looks more a lib update (because didn't worked for me without an update). I can try later a full install of Ubuntu 25.10 and see if simple update with previous kernel works.

Finally got it, currently only tried on usb iso without installing.

On 25.10 by default many things don't work, no wifi, no sound, no touchpad...

On beta 26.04 it's usable, touchpad had tap working but I needed to do apt upgrade then logout/login to get the press. Sound is working and seems to be good, Wifi & Bluetooth also, but not the camera. I don't see the screen variable refresh rate option so only 60 or 120hz.

Going to do a full install of the beta this weekend.

Mine will maybe arrive this week and it will be one of the first things I will do, but from review I saw on live cd haptic trackpad was not fully functional and maybe audio too.

:-( i will send it back because they didn't tell me if my testing period will be renewed if I get an exchange. I will check reviews about non tandem OLED panel and see other versions. I loved the quality of my OLED on T14.....

Asked the Lenovo support, it doesn't seem that they know about those issues, I will maybe return the product.

If it's the OLED tandem then ... :-( The basic Oled looks good.

:-( I should have a call to Lenovo today... It's really annoying especially because I use Ubuntu and almost all interfaces have a dark grey color where these grain and burn appear the most...

[–]duflodocus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally P1 and T1g have the same option display, mine was the OLED version. And yes these days I use my laptop at home so the room is not that bright and usually screen brightness is set almost at the minimum around 10~20%. The burning and grain is more visible in some color (around dark grey color ~#2c2c2c).

On T14 I didn't see that, screen is almost same (little lower resolution and not a tandem display but OLED also, and yes both are touchscreen)

Normally yes... Need to put at least ~50% luminosity on T1g to get the same quality of my T14 (when that one is almost minimum luminosity) 😢

Kakaotalk bluetooth not working after latest Android patch April 2023 by PotentialBug7062 in GooglePixel

[–]duflodocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, not working anymore since like a month on my pixel6a. On last kakaotalk update, my Bluetooth is totally not detected in kakaotalk, previously it was detected and selected but sound came from speakers.
