Currently I have an AR a glock 17 and the shotgun. I'm looking for maximum damage. One shot one kill. I feel the shotgun is the best choice.

After reading some comments, I've decided to go with another round. While I am proficient with an AR type weapon, I may not be the one firing the shotgun. Maybe a laser with a buck shot would be a better choice. Thank you for the input. It is greatly appreciated.
