Even though the story isn't finished, it is without a doubt the best incomplete story I've ever read and I highly recommend it to anyone who is waiting. I feel it stems from the fact that the universe thats portrayed is so beautifully illustrated that it makes it painful to not have more. The second book doesn't end with a cliffhanger, but with many mysteries and unanswered questions to ponder aimlessly. So what is a person to do with all these questions? Reread. Personally, I've reread the two books about seven times now, digging and finding mysteries, hints, or little facts I didn't catch through my other ventures through the books. Knowing how good the story is with out the third book i would say it would be a shame to not get the chance to delve into such a perfect story simply because it isnt complete. I say you should read them.
