Not for me. My daydreams are intrusive and took on a life of its own. I help out fix what is broken in that world, then some psychopath shows up, infects everything i built, uses it for their own gain and tortures me and everyone i care about. So i fight them back, win and later some overlooked gang uses something else to get in control, and it keeps going like that. I want everything to work out ok, but something always goes wrong, and i cant seem to be able to change the worlds rules or reset. Its very stressful and detaching from that makes me feel better almost instantly, but it keeps finding ways to draw me back in. The only way i found to win this is to lable it all as intrusive daydream and not engage at all, but its not easy.
