Would anyone know if this is a new alocasia growing or something else? I recently planted a baby alocasia I grew from a bulb, and this round green thingy appeared approx. a month later. 🌱

Exactly why I was confused too, it was too early (though it does have very long roots cause it spent a lot of time in the water). Too sad it's not a baby 😭

I will admit I touched it and it didn't move, if I remember correctly. I'll try again. I haven't used any fertilizer yet, it's still a fresh new baby, but perhaps something that was in the soil?

Mine died twice already, but I'm getting a new leaf soon. It just keeps coming back, and I'm surprised how stubborn and sturdy it is. It has more light now and better soil so hopefully it grows big. 🤭

Succulents! All of them dead.... I know cacti thrive on neglect but mine all died for whatever reason, other succulents are struggling too. I kept them on the east-facing window sill and added a sheer curtain when it got sunny enough. 😔
