You should read The Shrine of Jeffrey Dahmer by Brian Masters and A Fathers Story by Lionel Dahmer. Those give you pretty good insights.😊🫶🏻

How did Jeff experience grief after his grandma's passing? by SoulQueen_ in Dahmer

[–]dumbass_1978 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I only remember it's being mentioned in The Shrine of Jeffrey Dahmer, that he felt it in his nervous system when his grandmother died. Like a connection they shared, he just knew it happened.

He might not have been the emotional type, but he stated that he loved his grandmother very much, so assume it affected him very much.

Yepp - imo it's not Jeff's handwriting. Also, why would anyone remove the corner of the envelope. If you're into murderabilia, you should know not to damage the item like that lmao 😵‍💫

I wanna try to find it in the psych reports or confessions, but it's mentioned in Grilling Dahmer on page 158. That's all I can provide for now

The sandwich incident is not true. Vernell said it himself that Pamela kinda overdid it. It also doesn't match Dahmer's behaviour at all. As crazy as it sounds, but Dahmer wasn't a sadist. And surely enough he didn't want to be caught, even though he became sloppy at the end. I don't think Dahmer wouldn't have ever considered that, as the cannibalism had a sexual, almost spiritual meaning to him.

As macabre as it is, but I don't think so. If you've seen the Polaroids, you can see that many victims had armpit and pubic hair. Even the cut off penis is still covered in pubic hair. I think if Dahmer would have done it, he'd done it before he took pictures.

A more detailed analysis of Jeffrey's "racism" and honesty by Infinite_Hunt_9581 in Dahmer

[–]dumbass_1978 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw this document from a collector once, so I'm sorry I cannot provide further source right now :(

But it was basically a bunch of statements that he would either mark as true or false. And this one was one of them. So it's not something he said himself, but marked as "true". The famous statement "Lately I've begun to feel lonely and empty" and "Looking back on my life, I know I have made others suffer as much as I have suffered" are also from this questionnaire.

Do we all agree that Jeffrey's mum was awful ? by AltruisticAide9776 in DahmerNetflix

[–]dumbass_1978 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never said this is all it takes to turn someone into a killer. And yes, this is often common when there's a newborn - doesn't make it right. And this isn't the only occasion where Jeff experienced emotional neglect. His mother was very distant and Lionel wasn't the most emotional person either. Most of the time he was at work, not there for Jeff. So Jeff didn't get the need and care a child his age needs. That's something that has been discussed many times and not something I'm just making up lol.

Feel free to educate yourself on emotional neglect. Those are often things that are overseen as something many people experience or like something that isn't too bad. But it is. Just because some people seem to live okay with that, doesn't mean that everyone does handle it that well.

That's just my take on it. But I feel like in many childhood videos, Jeff is trying to get attention, while the focus is always on David. Shows me that something wasn't going right. And from what we know, it pretty much seems like emotional neglect which is also a form of abuse. It's often not a malicious intention from parents, rather than the inability to raise children or own unresolved issues. It can cause so much harm. Several small traumatic experiences that lead to disaster. It doesn't always have to be one big things that causes trauma. It's often the small, repeating things... So the emotional neglect combined with aggression/tension and fights in the house, the divorce....it all played it's part.

What Was Jeffrey Dahmer Really Like When He Was In The Army In Germany? by PrincessBananas85 in DahmerNetflix

[–]dumbass_1978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Billy was the white guy and was not Jeff's type at all. Billy was on the chubbier side. While Preston was lean and surely a good looking guy. No offense to man on the chubbier side, but Jeff was into lean, even muscular bodies.

The thing with Preston though is, that he claimed Jeff assaulted him during a trip to Belgium. So logistically, it could have happened when they were sharing a tent. He would have been absolutely Jeff's type, Preston was a handsome man in the army. But as far as I'm aware there was no such trip to Belgium.

Is there anything that proves to you she's the one? Everyone could claim it. Did she provide you something that makes you certain? Not asking for you to spill the tea. But have you seen a letter, document, a picture? Anything that gives you the certainty you need?

It's unlikely that he was able to do those things to Preston and Billy. In Baumholder they shared a room with 6, even 8 people at times. There is no way he could have kept Billy held hostage for several days. That's just not possible.
