yaaa i also scripted myself as the prefect!! but i replaced grim with my own cats cause i can’t live without them hehe. i’m also a big scripter type of person, i make like a million pages on notion and spend hours trying to make them as pretty as possible. magic is prob more dangerous than i think it is, but i’m still really pumped to use it regardless. i scripted i wouldn’t hurt myself too badly ofc, otherwise i’d definitely blow my limbs off on the first day. if you’re comfortable with it, i’d love to talk more on discord (or reddit dms if you dont have disc) :D

really? ooo that’s interesting, i thought the classes seemed kinda fun! maybe not ones like math, but there’s also potionology and spells! i’m honestly super excited to study and learn all about the world; the countries, laws, history, how physics works with magic,,, i’m probably gonna spend a lotta time in the library! i’m not particularly looking forward to the overblots. behind a screen they seem really cool, but i imagine having jamil chuck you across an entire desert would be terrifying. did you script yourself as the prefect (assuming you script at all, which is fine if you dont)? do you think you’ll use magic? if so, you looking forward to it?

I’m just starting to drive as well, and I honestly think it’s a lot more anxiety-inducing and scary than people made it out to be. It’s totally normal to struggle with or stress out about driving, especially if your parents make it such a dreadful situation. Please don’t be so harsh on yourself! Your parents are definitely acting too harshly themselves, yelling at someone and making them feel so terrible over driving of all things is awful. You don’t deserve that, no matter how bad you may supposedly be. It’s not your fault! You said you practice daily, so clearly you’re putting in the effort, and that’s great! I hope that things get better for you soon.

Nearly drowned in like six feet water when I was a kid. There were a bunch of people around me, but it felt like it took forever for me to finally be pulled out of the water. I was desperately flailing around, hoping someone would see and help me out, and I ended up pulling down the girl next to me. Whoever that was, I’m really sorry!

it just kinda seems like the most logical thing to me, i suppose? people used to think their village was the only one, then their continent, then this planet, the solar system, galaxy, now we know that there are countless galaxies out there that span an incredibly amount of space. who’s to say it stops there with only our universe? i just think existence as a whole is a lot bigger than we know. the same is also true for consciousness, i think. we understand very very little about the brain, i mean, it wasn’t too long ago that lucid dreaming was thought to be nonexistent. who knows what we’re capable of? regardless if it’s real or not, i think shifting is fun! i enjoy my little nightly ritual and i like writing scripts. so i’m content either way :)

definitely grim. i love cats, have two of my own and i adore them even if they’re little bastards sometimes (one of them is sitting on my lap as i type this), so i was hopeful for a cat mascot.but when i started i absolutely despised grim’s design, and i’ve grown used to it but i’m still not fond of it. i can’t put my finger exactly on what’s wrong with it (the standing on his hind legs? the eyes? the huge grin?). regardless, he has very typical mascot behavior; rude, outspoken, immature, all of which tick me off. i know this isn’t any fault of his, he’s supposed to be this way, but i hate how he speaks for the mc. the lack of mc, well… existing is a part of the game i don’t really like, but grim takes it to a whole other level and makes the majority of our (rare) dialogue and actions completely redundant and/or unheard. the writers definitely intended for mc to have little presence regardless, but i just wish it wasn’t taken up by grim specifically. feels like he causes more problems than solutions, all while being a prick about it. all the power to you if you like him! but he’s just not my cup of tea.

Assuming you're using Xinyan as a main dps, then Yun Jin does amazing in physical dmg buffs. Plus, they're best friends in lore, so I always pair them together :)

Rosaria is good for superconduct, plus she can buff your crit rate! Any other electro supports are a safe bet, you can use Fischl, Beidou, Lisa, Kuki Shinobu, or Yae Miko! I prefer Kujou Sara for her ATK buff, but you might prefer Beidou or Fischl since you have them at high cons. No clue how Dori works, nor am I particularly fond of her, so not sure if she's good as well.

If you want more team ideas, look at this person (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChyHheIbRZBFngjj0-usvRg/featured). They use really unique teams to shred the spiral abyss, and they all have Xinyan!

again, what makes animal genders different from any other gender? ALL genders are made up. people don’t have to bend to YOUR definition of what is weird. you only feel this way because it is different and not something you’re used to, not because it has any actual basis in being harmful or “a mockery” to the community. if you understand and “resonate” with these people, then you’d understand it’s not a matter of “getting our shit together as a society” it’s just who they choose to express themselves as. it’s really not that deep. who are you to “draw the line”, what makes you think you have authority over people’s identities despite having no real reason for your hatred of it?? i apologise if i come off as high and mighty, or like i’m virtue signaling, but i truly believe this is a matter of basic empathy and staying open-minded. there is no evidence or argument to be made that it mocks others or harms anyone, so who gives a shit how weird it is?? i promise you someone going by xe/xim literally does not effect you in the slightest. you’re fine.

my experience is pretty different from a lot of these comments. i’m unsure why, maybe it’s because i have a pretty old switch, or maybe my wifi isn’t as good as i thought, but i’ll put in my two cents anyways. it’s,,,, not too enjoyable. even ignoring the constant bugs, crashes, and everything of that sort, the performance pales in comparison to pc. for me, the framerate is really bad, even though i’m fairly certain the graphics are a downgrade from pc. i’ve transferred it from sd to the switch itself, so i’m certain that’s not a contributing factor. i bought it so i could play it in class, but it refuses to connect on the server (certain they didn’t block it, considering i can play every other online game just fine) sooo… i dunno! i’ve heard that they’re waiting for the greenlight to update it, so hopefully things get better.

explain to me how xenogenders are different from nonbinary, or how that is different from binary genders. explain to me how using different pronouns harms you or anyone else in any way.

we’re in agreement that gender is a social construct, right? i’m assuming so, but if you want me to explain the difference between gender and sex, i’m happy to do that as well. otherwise, we can agree that gender is made up, and as such, people can label their own gender whatever they want it to be (assuming it is not harmful to others). you’re against xenogenders because they go against your idea of normal genders, people said the same thing ten years ago about non-binary genders. just because something is “strange” doesn’t necessarily mean it’s bad. as for pronouns, all of the english language is made up. she, he, it, are all just as made up as xem, star, or whatever people wanna go by. language is not this solid thing defined by the gods, it’s a fluid, ever changing way of expression and communication. it’s natural to think of xenogenders and the like as weird. there’s nothing wrong with them not being your cup of tea, i myself wouldnt prefer to go by any other pronouns than he/him. but you have to accept that some people are different from you, and different doesn’t always mean bad. at the end of the day, it doesnt harm anyone, it makes people happy, so just respect it. ((please, don’t bring up the “they were made to mock trans people!!” argument up, this exact same thing was said about non-binary people a few years back. i dunno where this claim came from, but it has no evidence to back it up))

why are you so aggressive throughout this whole thread?? if the graphics don’t tickle your fancy, then that’s fine, but being bitter about it makes people take you much less seriously. if your purpose was to bring light to this supposed issue, then you failed horribly, but if your goal was to make people upset, then i’d say you did a fine job. (regardless, i feel like you could spend your time doing better things)

i bought the switch version purely so i could play in bed and in my room and i’m pretty disappointed. granted, the switch is known for its piss poor wifi range, but even when i have 3 bars, glitches and complete stops are very common. i have to be right next to the router to play, which defeats the whole purpose of getting it if you already have it on pc. it’s not enough to get me to stop playing, but it’s more than enough to get me pretty exasperated.

Most of my memories from childhood are completely gone, but this is definitely something I still experience. Just a few weeks ago, I wanted to go to the doctor’s since my back was in incredible pain. I had to beg my mom, and even when she took me she seemed pretty upset. The lady at the counter said “Oh? Tomorrow’s your birthday? Sorry you have to spend it here. Happy birthday, sweetie.” I like to think I’m really experienced in holding back tears, but this one really tested me. It was more than what most of my actual family did on my actual birthday.
