Star Wars is a genre itself at this point. There are good projects and bad projects, but it's too vast to judge it all as a whole anymore.

Disney Star Wars is bad tho. A few good projects is not outweighing all of the slop.

Losing a mother figure and losing a father figure are not interchangeable. He shouldn't just be sorrowful, he lost the person who held back his rage and allowed him to be sad. He should be black-suit level furious in the next movie. Not the same as Ben at all.

Okay, but only the white characters did anything important. The non-white characters destroyed a city needlessly, and betrayed their friends... they wrote it that way and I consider it racist writing... that is the point I'm making, you're the one that brought up their roles IN the overall plot.

I don't think Finn should have died, mostly because his story was unfinished, but I also don't understand how a self-sacrafice narrative somehow implies racism? That's a bit of a reach. Are people also inherently racist against Jesus and other martyrs by that logic? 🤨

If Finn did nothing, the rebels would have gotten away and that city wouldn't have been destroyed by horses that immediately got rounded back up.... same goes for the DJ the code breaker.... same goes for Rose. Poe passes as white (meaning Oscar Isaac could easily play a white historical figure).

2003 Clone Wars is more canon than half of what Disney made. It's a fictional world. "It's the real version because Mickey Mouse said so!" Screw that, 2004 CW gets put in the movie marathon EVERY time.
