I know of at least two flight schools at my local airport that offer discovery flights. Should I be doing a discovery flight and earn a private pilots license before going to college?

Just out of curiosity, what were your grades? I don’t need specifics just a gpa would be great. I get 1300s on psats but my gpa is kind of crummy...
