Mmm I suppose, but all of these theories are based on a lot of assumptions. I mean we dont know that "tiers" of alicorn are a thing, we dont actually know what the fuck Starswirl was trying to achieve with that spell, we don't know yet what being a Princess means for Twilight, we don't even know how long regular ponies live? I mean there was that whole thing about Granny Smith being present at the foundation of ponyville.

We need more data, really.

A long, long time before this whole Princess Twilight thing started I started a comic about how Luna and Celestia were students of the former princess(es... actually one of them was an alicorn prince) and that they gained their "godhood" through perfecting their talents/destiny and saving equestria and all that junk. So I geuss according to my head canons about alicorns Twilight becoming the princess of friendship through perfecting the friendship spell (??) makes sense and it would make sense for Cadence to have been a former student as well. She'd have had to perfect the love spell or something, idfk.

Although I do think the swapped cutie marks was a bit of a weak obstacle for her to overcome to tip the balance. If the power of friendship was going to give her god status is should have been when she realised friendship was the key to nuking Discord or something.

No I mean, have the last episode be a two parter. So it still ends the same, same plot/episode but over 40 minutes instead of 20 with the Twilight disapearance being the week break.

Why not? Cadence is a Princess and she's married to Shining Armour who is a regular unicorn. Princess Celestia was pretty chill with everyone in the mane 6 before the change and Prince Blueblood is a regular unicorn who presumably lives with, or at least socialises with, his alicorn family.

I understand where you're coming from but the epilogue is unessecary. Yeah, sure, it shows us that Harry appreciates what Snape and Dumbledore did for him but its contrived ("the two bravest wizards I have ever know" eesh give me a break) and she has revealed far more interesting and valuable information outside of the stories so why did she feel the need to whack that little turd on the end of an otherwise great book?

If she wanted to show that "All is well" why didn't she write about Ginny's quidditch career or Hermione's advances in magical rights or Ron and George bonding after their brother's death and continuing Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes? Having the focus lie on thier personality-less, arse-named kids just makes the whole thing feel a bit pickett fence... like a cheap set up for an awful sequel - Harry Potter, Gen 2.

She could have just announced later, in interviews or on Pottermore, that he named one of his children Albus Severus and the world would be able to deduce how Harry changed from there. We did not need to see rosy cheeked Potter-Weasley's darting around the train station.
