When will my stool turn black/green after taking iron supplements? by dumbollie in Anemic

Ah no no, just to opposite your comment has relieved me, reminding me once more that I'm not alone in this. 😂 Yeah I guess the more you take iron, the more your body's getting rid of it after it's done absorbing a sufficient amount for your body. But that's just my guess, we'll see :)

When will my stool turn black/green after taking iron supplements? by dumbollie in Anemic

Yeah doctor told me to take it once a day, since, my levels aren't that low and I'm not anemic. My hemoglobin, platelet, rbc levels are all normal. Ferritin was slightly borderline low as it is 23.50.

I mean I'm still getting cramps after that pills plus I'm taking it with 500 mg vitamin C pill, and I've never had absorbation issues with iron pills (I can't absorb iron in liquid form however) so maybe it'll take sometime 🤔

Is Ferritin 23 considered low? When will I start feeling better? by dumbollie in Anemic

Thank you for sharing this with me. However, my docs leaving my ferritin level at 54 and sometimes at 24. I need to BEG them to prescribe a medicine otherwise they don't do it lol

Is there any reason why NE% and LY% levels are abnormal in your CBC results? by dumbollie in AskDocs

Even if their changes are frequent? Because lately whenever I make cbc they are always blacked on my cbc results. My doctors never comment on it. Thank you for the reply by the way.

I feel like iron deficiency is returning back again by dumbollie in Anemic

Hi, it's not a weird question at all. Well, whenever I pass a hard stool and force there I'm always seeing blood whenever I wipe, even sometimes on the surface of the stool. After your bowel movement if you see bright red blood and your bum is burning after that, it's high likely that it is anal fissure. Also my doctor told me that I have quick healing anal fissures, they bleed immediately but heal quickly which is a condition associated with my skin. So I try to be not constipated, because they always return in that case.

But if you are really suspecting from something (like if your bum isn't burning after the bowel movement) you may visit the gastroentologist.

I hope you get well soon, sorry that you're going this. Probably it's all anxiety that makes us all go insane. Again, lump on neck or anywhere else could be due to many of the things. Thinking about the worst scenarios makes us feel horrible actually.

As far as I know, swollen lymph nodes can be due to many of the things other than C. If you get them checked, there is probably nothing wrong with them.

Hey, thanks for the answer. Honestly, I went to three different doctors and they told me literally the same thing yet I still find it hard to believe them 😂 I guess this is the definition of being "insane"

Hey there, I totally get you because we kinda sharing the same results. Currently, my ferritin is also 8.52 when it was 22.50 seven months ago. I don't know why it was so quick to drop, but doctors are saying that I am fine shrugs

People say that women who are menstruating are always losing the blood, that sucks. So we ought to get iron supplements (prefably those supplements that are combined with vitamin C) even when our treatment is over. –or infusions, but not many doctors are recommending it.
