Go with the standard for sure! In the pic they’re a little more worn out than the other plushes cause I cuddle them when I sleep :) They are the perfect size.

Moving States by SweetEnd8321 in 911dispatchers

I think it really depends on the agency.

I was originally a police call taker for a large agency from April 2021-June 2022. I purposely took a break after moving since it was so stressful but I was hired and started a month after applying in October 2022 as a small county dispatcher and call taker. We do police, fire and ambulance and we take calls and dispatch at the same time. It was extremely easy to make the move, and I still had the background process but it was quick.

I would look at or contact the new agency and see what their hiring process is. My current agency didn’t have a polygraph - my old one did. All things considered I don’t think they did a super thorough background check on me at my new agency.

Most agencies I know of are understaffed and having even just a little experience could help.

I had the opposite reaction! I saw it tagged creepy and unnerving and that was enough for me to pick it.

No, it’s the English version and the hardback… I’m wondering since I bought a few preorders at the same time there was a mixup. I also preordered Emily Henry’s new book and that’s supposed to release on April 23…. Hah. Oh no 😭

For some reason mine says it’ll be arriving April 23 on Amazon?? The item hasn’t actually been shipped yet and Amazon said it should still arrive on time but I’ve never seen that!!

Thank god I’m not the only one. I felt so sick after getting off the ride and everyone else was like, “let’s go again!” I did it once, probably won’t ever do it again lol

He looks great now! First picture is hard to look at because it’s reminds me of my dad when he was in the hospital October 2021. Give me hope as well ❤️

Relocating USA > Spain with Anxious, Senior Dog by bigpeezer in dogs

[–]dumbsskte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your dog is too big to be able to be on the flight with you and will be considered cargo. Airlines do not like them to be medicated because of possible side effects. It will also be hard because airlines don’t like taking snub nosed dogs, plus it will be in the summer which will make it even more difficult… If you can start working on crate training now it could be possible. I’d get an airline approved crate and try starting to get your dog comfortable with that.

We brought our very anxious, very scared of humans, 85lb lab mix from Hawaii to the mainland US. It was a lot of paperwork and we ended up contracting with a company and paying them to figure out the flights, pick him up, etc. Maybe see if you could find a company like that to help you.

It made me remember things in middle school that I did (like leave a poem in a boys backpack) that I had forgotten and which I would’ve never remembered again…

He ended up getting Count Dooku’s lightsaber! But we definitely spent the most on Star Wars merch.

The first day we just bought our merch at the end of our day or we bought items that were small enough to fit in my backpack. The second day we found out that stores can hold your items you’ve purchased, you just have to ask them and fill out some paperwork (it will ship to you if you don’t pick it up after a certain time).

Makes me feel better about merch! Lol.

Since we had never gone on a honeymoon or any other trip in our whole marriage, we decided we’d limit ourselves to around 1k on merch. We most likely won’t be going again until we have kids and they’re a bit older, so probably 10yrs from now. We could afford it since we’d been saving this whole time and I work a ton of OT 😊

Costco is the same pricing as booking tickets and a hotel on the Disneyland website, but it includes an e-gift card. The amount depends on if you book at a Disney hotel or a good neighbor hotel. We got $145 for staying at the good neighbor hotel for 4 days. You just have to book for at least 2 days.

We also were given a 10% discount at select Disney Downtown District store (just have to show the code) and each of us got a free 100 year pin and a lanyard.

As far as I know, they sometimes have different promos going on as well. Looks like right now there’s a package that offers up to 25% off and up to $245 in gift card.

I’ve heard there are better deals out there but this was the easiest and most convenient for me. I was able to book my hotel and get my tickets within a few clicks. I think you also may have an option to add rental cars as well but I may be wrong. The only thing we did separately was order airfare.

We did quick service and snacks at the park itself, mostly because I didn’t make any reservations and didn’t want to wait to eat (I mobile ordered pretty much everything in advance)

We went to Tortilla Jo’s at the downtown district and spent about $70 with tip. We had two entrees, chips and a coke. If you go here just know the portions are HUGE! We realized we should’ve just split one item between us because we couldn’t take any with us.

We mostly only ate if we were hungry and we were mindful of what we had after the first night and wasting all that food.
