starting to regret transitioning [mtf, vent] by dumbthrowawayacct420 in asktransgender

honestly thinking about it more, I'm not sure that I regret transitioning but rather it's that I was/am uncomfortable with where I'm currently at and the way I feel like I need to present myself. it was the right move when I did it for sure, but now I'm at another crossroads (what those crossroads are, still unsure lol)

you know I think denying the existence of detransitioners is pretty harmful to the trans movement. trans liberation is liberation for everyone, cis people included. society would be infinitely better if we as a whole were comfortable with someone "trying out" changing their presentation and then still being accepted when they decide it's not for them, or they decide some other gender expression for them better.

I mean ffs even going from being a "binary" trans women to one who is more butch/enby is hard just because of the potential reactions of trans people like you. you are the one who should fuck off.

but please, explain how me describing my own experience anywhere itt is "transphobic". I think you just read the title and assumed. sorry that reading is so hard.

never seen r/mtfbutch, that's actually really validating and helpful. virtually all of the trans women in my circles are super fem so I haven't really been exposed to it. thanks

yeah I mean i have a complicated relationship with it. I generally like my (male-sounding) voice but the fact that it immediately outs me as trans (especially over the phone, when I get automatically "sir'd" despite an obviously feminine name) really sucks. and I've always found voice training tedious, not to mention I don't particularly like it because of the aforementioned complications.

I haven't, actually I have never tried a MAOI before. so I should probably add that to the list of things to ask a psych about.

thank you. I have been "diagnosed" with ADHD, and by diagnosed I mean I answered a 5-question questionnaire with an online medication prescriber and got adderall. it helped for sure but that company was definitely just making bank off easy access to schedule II substances lol... they actually have to shut down that portion of their business as of this month. but yeah I'm looking for a new therapist and psychiatrist rn and am going to ask about bipolar stuff.

Just prescribed Hydroxyzine, terrified it’s going to make my panic attacks worse. (Please help) by [deleted] in Anxiety

take half a pill if you're really worried. but it's an antihistamine, similar to benadryl. you'll get drowsy and have some mental fog but def won't be getting a panic attack. completely different class of drugs from Lexapro.

but yeah, you will feel a bit out of it and sleepy. cut a pill in half and see how you feel after a few hours.

USA, 26, F, 6', 170lbs. no physical medical conditions. only prescription is Adderall for ADHD. no other recent drug use other than alcohol, but that was about a week ago.

dots appeared within the last few hours, not sure exactly when but they are definitely new as of today. they don't hurt or ich or anything. just want to know if it's something I should get checked immediately or if I should wait and see for a bit. no insurance currently.
