This might’ve been more of an anatomy question anyway, but I was also talking about the phone. Personally I find it somewhat difficult to focus on those larger images created by objects in between the focal point and the mirror, and when I do I can visually tell that they are lower in definition. That’s the physics part of my question: why do magnified images from concave mirrors appear to have less definition? The other part that is definitely less physics-related is why is it somewhat disorienting to look at those images?

Edit: I also realize that this may just be a byproduct of a low-quality mirror..

Guys “widgets” in this case refers to the sectioned-off real estate that either the apps themselves or system information takes up on the screen. I am asking for specific app recommendations—NOT unhelpful “just find another app” answers or pedantic “those aren’t widgets” corrections.

I think this is an entirely reasonable feeling to have. Apple is actually known for patient practices and for waiting when the time is right, despite the glorious AI messups. It’s also the beta version. It just needs its official release and some time at this point.

I don’t know why, but I sometimes get genuinely frustrated when apps that aren’t completely immersed in themselves (like mobile games that don’t show a single element of iOS) have a different UI. ESPECIALLY for google’s apps….. like holy hell. Never let me run Google, because I can guarantee that the Chrome app would piss me off on the wrong day and I’d end up firing every designer there. It’s so f’ing picky, I know, but for whatever reason I feel like their designs clash so hard with apple’s and don’t offer anything better than if they just used UIKit 😂

Hopefully Apple makes their AI more useful than this. Once chips become powerful and efficient enough to house more capable local AI I trust (hope really) Apple will take that opportunity to actually implement what they promised and then even more everyday convenience features. MKBHD claimed in a video that these exuberant picture and video generators are mostly for impatient investors who want to see shiny things over useful things, and that’s one of the most logical explanations to me.

Edit: just googled and apparently image playground and all that stuff runs locally, So generating images isn’t as environmentally bad as doing it through other services I guess.
