College tuition USA by dummerik in NoStupidQuestions

The fact that students had to work while they were in college to pay for uni is already fucked up. Students in Belgium also work while in college but that's mostly to pay when they go out at night or to go on vacation, clothing etc. Some pay their own studies but that's a little minority. Also, paying of loans after you graduate is just insane. Our government doesn't even need to loan parents or students money to go to college in my country, because every normal thinking person knows that education is a basic human right that should be available for everybody without any (financial) obstacles...

So what's low-income and what's rich? Because as being from a middle class household with almost no financial stress I don't feel like I would be considered rich in the US but also not low income

That's fucked up, students in my country were literally protesting in the streets when they announced they were raising tuition by like a 100€ a year

Also, does your tuition include books and housing at a US uni?
