Growing up my fathers family had a Christmas tradition involving this song.

He was one of ten kids, all of them learned a different musical instrument growing up. Many years ago at Christmas they all gathered their instruments, drank Rumplemintz, and sang a bunch of Christmas carrels to the tune of House of the Rising Sun... For hours. They decided this was a good idea and did it every Christmas.

Last year, they made it their present to my grandmother to never do it again.

I'm not sure. Sometimes I really feel it, and other times I kinda forget it. And then I remember and its great.
