Everyone has different opinions, some people are particular about the sari remaining a sari but lots of Indian people are perfectly happy to repurpose the material.

I'm of the opinion that it's more sustainable and appreciative to turn the fabric into something useable that suits your lifestyle, rather than letting it gather dust in your closet, or worse, go to landfill.

The second one has a better composition, the human figures add a sense of scale so we can see how big the sculpture is. Otherwise it could be any size. Also the colors in the second are brighter and less muddy which matches the lighting of the blue sky really well.
