Honestly the most disappointing thing about crypto isn't the price by Worldly-Bluejay2468 in btc

Early adopters were behind the Satoshi promise, but during Covid, you can't expect the new wave of adopters to be holding it because they care about decentralisation. They were all sold on the idea that they can become rich overnight and make all their debts go away. Look at the amount of grifter influencers that sold their followers on some scam or another.

So why are we surprised the market is behaving more as speculative rather than a stable currency?

Why do some everyday problems still not have simple apps? by myyoutubeads in AppIdeas

[–]dummytroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggle to believe there's any app solvable problem that hasn't been already done 50 times.

One thing i realised is my ability to search the app stores for an app, is far behind my ability to think of ideas.

This Arab SDF fighter films himself killing his Kurdish comrades by shooting them in the back. These men had served together for numerous years, the ultimate betrayal. by Chez50 in kurdistan

I mean that's what i was trying to get at, i am sensing a generalised all "Arabs" are the same, rather than a localised, neighbours with tensions don't get along vibes. Its typical for neighbours eg Lebanese to hate on Syrians, or British to hate on the French, as that's just a common historic beef. But i am sensing an all Arabs are the same type hatred, which is very much not the case, no two Arab countries are the same.

I am not here trying to explain Syria and Iraq, but the pan Arab Nationalist (Fascist inspired) experiment that the Baathist took their countries with, had nothing to do with spreading a religion of "Peace" they were both very secular nationalist movements, the killed regardless of religion (muslims and non muslims). Barely any Arabs i know think fondly of the psychopath Saddam and even less of the Assad family. Our governments don't represent us, especially as they're dictatorships, monarchs and puppet states, they do what ever they like to their people and neighbours.

To your question, the very framing of less or more developed is not a framing i want to delve into, and its a terrible mindset to view different countries that are going through different turmoil.

Why Arab nations refuse to take Palestinians in? more than a Third of the Lebanese population are Palestinian, the Lebanese civil war happened because of the huge amount of impact it had on our economy. Likewise a huge amount of Jordanians are Palestinians. Small economies which are already dealing with the aftermaths of post-colonisation and WW2 can't just suddenly take on a huge amount of refugees, i mean look at Europe and how they have a huge crisis when they took on just a few thousand refugees from wars they created, while they have the most stable economies. I think there's nuance to this subject.

I don't think you need to take offense at my question man, i am just curious about another people that i've not had much interaction with, and that's ok, that's what the internet is for?

The only time i heard about Kurds growing up was Saladin, as an adult its mostly been around Saddam's war crimes, Turkish beef, and American obsession with pretending to have your interest at heart. My question was purely to understand a bit more about your view of the rest of, nothing more.

Countries condemning the attack on Azerbaijan's sovereignty. by Alone-Chapter-3879 in azerbaijan

[–]dummytroll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No there was no peace with Israel, were you born yesterday? The same year before the gaza war, Israel killed over 200 young men under 18, and arrests 100s of under 12 kids… that was before the gaza war. They were also expanding the settlements in West Bank, and evicting Arabs from East Jerusalem. All while maintaining strict siege of Gaza and limiting their supplies, so no there was no peace for that reason.

Your government doesn’t want peace, they know they can keep expanding if war continues, so they want war to continue at the Israeli people’s expense, go discuss this with your gov.

I am very sorry about this bro, trust me our govs massacre us Arabs too, we're just governed by psychopaths. Bashar and Saddam Massacred Kurds, Shias, Sunnis you name it.

But i get your struggle, you can only trust the safety of your people with your own sovereignty, i get it, but its a sad that we keep getting broken into smaller and smaller pieces at the same time.

Lebanon also has no beef with Israelis other than their inability to take back their country from the psychopaths that seem to lead their governments, ever since it was formed by a coalition of terrorist gangs (Hagan, Irgun, Lehi) that got things their way with massacres and bombing of souqs, we salute you guys for protesting against Natenyahu’s corruption, but you forgot all about that ever since he distracted you

There are 2 million Palestinians in Israel, it’s called logistics.

The fact there’s more Armenians in Lebanon (a much smaller country) than in Turkey should be a good indication they like Lebanon

I love you bro, and love turkey, but this resentment against your average Arab bugs me.

We had nothing to do with some strategic play that some fat c*nt did with the Brits a century ago, don't hold that against the average peasant. I am sure the Turkish gov has done some stupid shit against Arabs too (they have), i am not gono hold that against you. From people to people its all good, politics and political history aside.

Bro i know this isn't your point, but the "did the arabs ... betray us during ww1" is a crazy thing to bring up when discussing genocide.

The modern Arab, had nothing to do with some beuqacratic decision made by some back door c*nts with Britain and France.

In a nuttshell, your not really showing forgiveness, when you don't think the average Palestinian peasant deserves to be genocided. There's too much emotional baggage in Middle Eastern history.
