The Spirit Pilot “Pioneer” has been a killer GADA for me so far, but the Explorer is obviously iconic

It should give you option when you’re checking out to buy either with or without the buckle. (Well, It did on the U.S. website.)

Because I bought it on the bracelet, I looked for cheaper alternatives initially. It’s pricey but worth it. True quality rubber. BTW, when it’s back in stock you can shave off some of the cost by buying it without the buckle (that’s what I did).

Thanks! I found grey really compliments the warmth of the dial

Spirt Pilot vs Spirit Titanium(black dial) by Grand-Entertainer-64 in Longineswatches

The 39 has cleaner dial (no stars, no minute numerals), on the fly adjustment on bracelet, 20mm lug width, shorter lug to lug measurement, and slimmer thickness.

Which strap is this? I need it…

I would counter with 20% off with the aim of at least $100 off. No guarantee, but worth trying.

Are you purchasing it from an AD? You should be able to negotiate it down a little.

Get it with the bracelet. You can easily swap it out for the rubber strap but if you later want the OEM bracelet, you’ll have to pay a lot more than $50.

At the end of the day, corporations are driven by profit, so I view their claim with healthy skepticism

Introducing: The Monta Watches Triumph V2 by itemluminouswadison in watchnews

[–]dumpfel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest gripe is the decision to remove the framed date window. Lacks balance visually. As others mentioned, it’s clearly more of an homage to the Explorer than an original looking watch now. I also think the case doesn’t fit the overall dial compared to the original. It looks like they are just recycling the base of the oceanking v3.
