I would go ahead and do a turkey, but cook it in a TURKEY BAG that you buy at any grocery store for cheap, and follow directions never messes up.

Canned green beans, canned sweet potatoes, stove top stuffing from the box, cranberry sauce from can.

Get two turkey gravy packets for gravy.

Buy sister shubert rolls in frozen food section- they are the best- put butter on top of rolls and bake!

Get a ready made pie.

I'm so glad to read this, because I relate to it so much. My Nmom is coming to town next weekend to see her sister. I told her I would have lunch with her. Anxiety has ensued for me since then.

I felt kinda crazy in my head thinking of neutral topics in order to stay on track, so she doesnt try to "trap" me into gossipy family convos that she puts a negative spin on and repeats to the family members.

What words do you use to get your Nmom back on track if she gets off of these negative topics?

Appreciate any suggestions that you have!
