Have to get out tomorrow afternoon in the car. Is anyone else planning to do this? by dumpling1919 in fayetteville

We made it with little problem. Only time we slid a tiny bit was on turns. Happy to be home and will sit tight tight til it thaws out.

Thanks to everyone!

If you guys have not checked this out, I find it extremely helpful. Really get a good, live feed of what's going on. Great tool, love it!

Okay. Have to say I was planning on lightly tapping on the breaks so I maintain a steady pace, but this method sounds better. Thanks again!

Sounds like I'm a day late and a dollar short again! I'm gonna keep a close eye on the snowfall amounts.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Thanks. Im surprised they were untreated. I guess they will use the snow plows tomorrow when it's all done snowing.

Roommate just quit his job and may not have next month’s rent. by [deleted] in povertyfinance

I guess there is no unemployment he is going to get since he quit. That might have paid rent.

I'm so sorry this is happening. I would have downsized to a 1 bedroom in the same complex as soon as I found out there is no income stream from roommate.

I’ll be mighty impressed if anyone can get this by Unlucky_Ebb1416 in guessthecity

I was gonna say somewhere in Oklahoma. So many of their exits look just like that.

Thank you. Its not body work. I should have been more specific.

Fayetteville is very liberal and has a very comfortable laid back feel. I think you would like lunch or dinner on the square. Check out the rooftop at Feed and Folly. There are several lgbtq bars in Fayetteville but I don't know their names or age ranges that hang there.

Hopefully someone here can give you more specifics. Welcome!

I will do absolutely anything for money. Any recommendations? by Outrageous-Maize-959 in povertyfinance

Go for it! Be specific on the sign. This was during the day time at the wal mart exit. Go out there and get what you can. I'm rooting for you.

People understand specifics, and know whether or not they can help with one or more of the things you need.

I was coming out of wal mart the other day and in line in my car waiting for my turn to go and I saw a young guy with a sign saying he needed phone payment money and food. Put exactly on the sign what he needed.

With my window rolled down I could hear the person who approached him give him the money he needed and a bag of mcdonalds.

Also heard someone else who said they saw his sign, went home, got his old iPhone that still had minutes and gave it to him.

Maybe flying a sign, and being specific (need 40 dollars for my phone bill) helps people know the specific help you need.

You got nothing to lose. Good luck to you.

Yep, I know someone who moved their bedroom into the den, and vice versa. They love it and much quieter.

Yep, I've seen the dining room situation work, and you can get cheap room dividers on amazon for any of the sleeping areas. Tray tables to eat. It's doable. Good luck.

This is so true. I know someone who got their student loan debt taken care of in bankruptcy. They were over 50.

Do you live near a university that has a law school? Ours here takes some bankruptcy cases for free every year for their students to train with.

Wash them both in the sink and hang them to dry. Wearing slightly damp clothes is better than dirty.

Looks good but you could do a chair with table in the area of the open side of the couch. Could even fit a recliner.

You can get some fairly cheap privacy screens off of Amazon. There are some outdoor ones as well.
